ABC producer arrested outside Brown Palace

A producer for ABC News was arrested today as he and a camera crew set up on the sidewalk outside the Brown Palace Hotel.
Asa Eslocker was arrested for trespass, interference and failure to obey an lawful order.
He was being processed from the Denver City Jail and is expected to be released on $300 bail, said his attorney Tom Kelley.
Eslocker is investigating the role of corporate lobbyists and wealthy donors at the convention for a series of Money Trail reports on ABC World News.
"The Brown's security guy got all upset and was telling them he owns the sidewalk around the Brown Palace," Kelley said.
"There's a vast difference between his story and the story cops are telling," Kelley said. "He was set up on a public sidewalk. He was doing an investigative piece and was told he could not be on the public sidewalk in front of the Brown Palace Hotel. We don't think that should have happened."
Kelley said ABC and the police both have video of the arrest.
**SNIP**
He was put in handcuffs, loaded into the back of a police van and taken to city jail.

Search does seem to be terribly broken atm.
They're turning on each other already!
The police will apologize and the rent-a-cop will get fired. If he keeps his mouth shut, he will get a really good job offer from a private security firm.
This was all about keeping identities safe. Some of these people are double-dippers.
Hehehehe. In this case though he probably has a valid complaint. I see a lawsuit in the making. Looks like the DNC was a little upset at being photographed with the lobbyist.
Since the weekend outage, search by title isn’t working. Keyword search seems to be OK....

You have something against this type of investigation?
"Eslocker is investigating the role of corporate lobbyists and wealthy donors at the convention for a series of Money Trail reports on ABC World News."
Even though I do not care for most of ABCs brand of reporting this was just wrong.
They should arrest the newsreaders & editors at ABC, not this guy. He was photographing big democrat donors.
I dont even pretend to understand the tactics used to remove people from an area. What the hell was that all about?
I might have to kill myself with a Ronco Vegematic if I see this posted again.
I'll wait to hear the cops' side before making a judgment.
What about impersonating a journalist?
My eyes were opened when I was about 15, happened to be watching an interview with two grossly fattened, camel haired coat covered, democrap congressmen, bemoaning in pure mafiosi accents, the pitiful poverty of many Americans, and how they were going to use their powers to make them better off. (about 40 years ago).
Have not been impressed by their work. And now, on visiting D.C., see lots of exotic marble edifices covered by the ill-clad sleeping homeless; honoring the scum who spent taxpayer money building them.
I agree. But it states that it was for a piece on the “Money Trail”. Lobbyists and Wealthy donors. That might have been interesting.
(sigh) Forgive me if this sounds strange, but the ABC guys are right this time. If I didnt know that it was Denver, Id think that the video was shot in Berkley, Ithaca, or some other similarly fd up place.
Obama continues to flex his muscle against any and all, who do not follow his story-line. His response is 'typically Leftist' inasmuch as the Left does not tolerate free speech; when it does not match their own. They do not ignore, or take lightly; even the smallest challenge. Hope all good citizens hear alarm bells by Obama responses.
(Am listening to Stanley Kurtz; who is under attack by Obama campaign for his 'reading of the Annenberg papers' and sharing what he has learned re Obama and Bill Ayers.)
ABC actually has journalistic integrity. It certainly has it’s share of left-leaning people, but it also has a long and distinguished track record of giving conservatives voice. Britt Hume was a well respected ABC News exec before going to Fox. George Will was the first conservative to give voice to conservative opinions regularly on any network. Brian Ross, the reporter who this story was for, does hard hitting reports on corrupt Dems all the time. John Stossel is a libertarian who has done 20/20 segments for a decade making fun of big government ineptness.
I don’t think you will find these types in residence at NBC or CBS, nor have you ever, really. ABC is even probably more balanced than CNN at this point.
