TigersEye, you are correct.

Maybe plenipotentiary wasn’t paying much attention at that time?

Its a real worry. I was watching “Goldfinger” on DVD yesterday. The America of the 1960s was very, very different demographically and culturally from the America of today. I dont know if its a good thing at all.

In the ‘60s it was a modified and laid back anglo-saxon culture which prevailed. Today, its all ghetto rap, mexican mafia, and trousers falling off their owners derrieres.

The danger is real. America as we knew it, is about to disappear. Thanks, in all parts, to our spineless politicals. To think they try to put down patriots like the Minutemen makes my blood boil. And if Barakh Hussein Osama takes over, I cant even dream of what itll be like.

What, like a bomb laden boatful of suicide soviets? Is that very likely?

I'm sure they'd be more sophisticated that a bunch of suicide Yeminis, but with the same goal of wrecking a U.S. ship. They could attempt an attack using scuba gear and a timed detonator, and try to make a clean getaway.

I guess not. Kind of like the 2,000 dead in Tskhinvali that the Russians claim yet the doctor in the hospital only logged in 44 bodies.

Because it has vertical launch harpoon and tomahawk missiles as well. That one ship is going to keep the russian black sea fleet from getting too close.

“The decision of where to send aid was made at the highest level of the Pentagon and the only decision was to send it to Batumi,” a U.S. Embassy spokesman said on condition of not being further identified.

Re the tankers the tonnage limit applies only to warships, not merchants. I’ll have to see what I can find about the carrier provision. I remember this being a big thing in the ‘70s with the Soviets insisting their early aviation ships were in fact “cruisers” in order to be able to pass through to the Med.
