PRINCETON, NJ -- It's official: Barack Obama has received no bounce in voter support out of his selection of Sen. Joe Biden to be his vice presidential running mate.

Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 23-25, the first three-day period falling entirely after Obama's Saturday morning vice presidential announcement, shows 46% of national registered voters backing John McCain and 44% supporting Obama, not appreciably different from the previous week's standing for both candidates. This is the first time since Obama clinched the nomination in early June, though, that McCain has held any kind of advantage over Obama in Gallup Poll Daily tracking.

How do you get a bounce out of something that is sinking?

The poll results say a lot about people's confidence in Obama's ability to make good decisions.

And say even more about people's dislike of Biden.

Biden was the sucker that hitched his tail to the wagon that is stuck in the mud and going nowhere. But, obviously he's the one no one wants to bother to rescue either.

So far the DNC Convention has been singularly unimpressive. Most voters missed part of Hillary's speech because it ran late. But in any event - who cares? The air has gone out of the Obama bandwagon.

Poor Obama..... the poor bastard is drowning and then reaches out to Biden who turns out to be an anchor around his neck and a sticking Albatross to boot.....

He failed to win over the Hillary Girls — then alienated lots of white Christian males “clinging” to their guns....

The Democrats are going down BIG TIME this time...
Hopefully - McCain will have some tail and pull some Republicans into office with him.....
