“Your pious arguments could help Obama, and that would be disasterous for America.”

The above is my post and I stand by it. Obviously you are an Obama schill.

Oh, I agree completely. I just thought it was a funny bumper sticker that reflects the feelings of even the people who plan to vote for McCain.

I wish we could vote third party. Oklahoma has such bad ballot access laws that we won’t have that option. Do you think we could get Bush to bring democracy to Oklahoma?

So I must pose a question to the whining conservatives who are threatening to stay home on November 4, sitting in their La-Z-Boys with arms crossed, puffed up blood-tinted cheeks, and brows furrowed like a toddler who doesn´t want to take a nap. Are you prepared to deal with the consequences of an Obama presidency?

In a word:

Yes.

And FU for your condescension, too.

but McCain would appoint judges who are much more likely to protect (most of) the unborn than the judges Obama would appoint.

Why would McCain waste political capital and start a bruising political fight with Congressional Democrats to get us judges long after we've already served his electoral purposes?

Then you have no understanding of the word "pious."

Nah... I just don't care for Schwarzenegger pubbies and their leftist views.

Ya see--I hate liberalism(D) and liberalism(R).

No. The Bible doesn't speak of embryonic stem cells research.

This is what you refer to as referencing scripture? C'mon, don't insult this discusson - I want chapter and verse.

My God wants to end the 1.2 million annual US abortions. Your God couldn't bend your heart and find compassion for them. Your uncompromising principles don't allow you to help keep them from being ripped to shreds or burned in salt water.

Look here bucko, I've held dismembered babies in my very hands that I've taken from city trash dumpsters behind abortion mills, in order to give them a proper burial. I've been arrested for my pro-life actions. What exactly have you done to stop the slaughter of innocent human life. I want details.

As long as people like you are willing to compromise on God's word then we will continue to be judged as a nation by God and will continue to have murderous blood running through our streets.

The innocent blood of the babies slaughtered through embryonic stem cell research will be upon your hands if you choose to bow down to Mammon and support candidates that have a policy of child killing.

So for those who are that directly religious and moralistic, think about the sin of allowing the nation to become without the traditional freedoms which allow us all to worship as we please, and to continue to create a more perfect union of citizens. On balance for me , voting to prevent that is to prevent a greater sin of loss of the freedom tha God gave our nation so we might do good to each other and in the world. Without that freedom the issue of abortion will be irretrievably lost to the Godless.

Spare me.

There has been plenty of whining...

Get bent, Mr. Shockey. McCain feels that his primary constituency is the mushy middle, so let him get his votes from there.

THE QUESTION is

If McCain says he could put a ProAbortionist in for VP
Why, would he then not put a ProAbortionist on the court?

Now if he chooses Sarah Palin......

I will vote for McCain and be on record as having stood against the complete socialization of America.

As opposed to only the partial socialization of America, when McCain and the Democrats join together to bail out private enterprise (GM, FNM, FRE, and company)?

Socialism for the rich is still Socialism.

But I’m in California where McCain doesn’t have a chance anyway.

I suppose the fact that I'm in Virginia and refuse to bow down to McCain only serves to enrage his mugwhores here on FR even further.

McCain isn’t the conservative candidate I wanted.

There, fixed it for you.

McCain is not conservative, period.

Whoa! I hope you don’t include me in that description. I’m not voting for McInsane. I am having a hard time deciding whether Obama or McCain would be the worse president. It’s enough to make you want to move to your own private island.

No, I didn't. Perhaps I should have made that extremely clear.

I am having a hard time deciding whether Obama or McCain would be the worse president.

I hear you.

I’m not voting for McInsane.

But I'm in one of those "swing states." Bwahahaha.

“As opposed to only the partial socialization of America, when McCain and the Democrats join together to bail out private enterprise (GM, FNM, FRE, and company)?”

You must think we’re entirely powerless against Congress to have written that. Were you planning to find that perfect candidate, vote that person in and then kick back? How engaged is that? And how different is that for what you want than for the idolators who will bow down to the One as he emerges from his temple tomorrow? It does not differ in the slightest and runs the exact same risk of hubris and potential subjection for you. Whether you will enjoy the resulting durance is a matter of personal taste, but the effect will not be any different and the damage to the American body politic will be equally destructive.

And I also point out to you that what you allege will happen has already happened many times from both sides of the aisle. So if there will be Socialism, then there already is Socialism and then what would be your point? Of course, every vote not for Obama does help, but one for McCain likely counts twice as much as any other because a vote for an also-ran subtracts from the leader on that side of the ledger while not affecting Obama. A vote for McCain has no such reduction.

I recommend you think again.

It didn’t need to be fixed. I wanted a conservative candidate. We have McCain instead. McCain wasn’t my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice. But to withhold my vote, I believe, makes it easier for Obama to become the next POTUS. That thought keeps me up at night. Our country would be in peril. I disagree with JM on many issues. But it’s either him or BO. That’s the race. Attempting to make a statement by not voting or casting a ballot for a guaranteed-to-lose third party candidate just makes it that much easier for a radical Marxist to take the reigns of our nation. I’ll vote for McCain now and keep contributing to and endorsing real conservatives whenever and wherever I can. It’s all I can do now.

Ah, the "pragmatists" can never resist the de rigeur slam at principled conservatives who won't sell their birthright for a bowl of potage. These same folk had better realize that the same principle which made us turn out to support conservative candidats in previous election now makes us again hold our ground, this time against the sell-out political whore McCain.
