It certainly seems like the Democrat coalitions of voters and supporters are a steady parade of the lunatic fringe, kooks, and crackpots of the world. Anybody who is “out there” will tend to support the Dems. and Obama.
On the other hand, people who have basically conventional lives built around work and family life, who are not calling for radical change in any areas, tend to be Republican and will support McCain.
And it could be that, true undecided moderate voters, seeing how noisy and “out there” the Democrats are getting, may decide to vote for McCain as a status quo or default choice, so as not to give their vote to the lunatic fringe.
Nope, he will blame racism, as will many others.
Even if he goes down the way Mondale did; it won't be liberalism, it will be racism.
