DENVER As Democrats arrived here Sunday for a convention intended to promote party unity, mistrust and resentments continued to boil among top associates of presumptive nominee Barack Obama and his defeated rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
One flashpoint is the assigned speech topic for former president Bill Clinton, who is scheduled to speak Wednesday night, when the convention theme is Securing Americas Future. The nights speakers will argue that Obama would be a more effective commander in chief than his Republican rival, Sen. John McCain (Ariz.).
The former president is disappointed, associates said, because he is eager to speak about the economy and more broadly about Democratic ideas emphasizing the contrast between the Bush years and his own record in the 1990s.
This is an especially sore point for Bill Clinton, people close to him say, because among many grievances he has about the campaign Obama waged against his wife is a belief that the candidate poor-mouthed the political and policy successes of his two terms.
I smell a rat in all this hype about the possibility of something drastic happening at the convention. I wouldn’t be suprised if the Dems are promoting this idea just so people will watch this BS exravaganza. You’d have to tie me to a chair to make me watch these morons blather.
Clinton is pissed because he won’t be securing interns.

Poor Bill. Does he feel “dissed” by the Obama people?
Expect Bill to talk about the Bosnia bombing and how he fought ethnic cleansing there. He can’t talk about too many other foreign policy matters, because we know that the Clinton administration failure to respond more forcefully to terror attacks against us overseas helped pave the way for September 11th. And he can’t talk much about his own bombing of Iraq, because that would show that back in the Clinton administration, that regime change in Iraq was our gov’t policy, and that Clinton believed that Saddam was a grave threat to world peace. All of that would conflict with Bush’s actions in Iraq. So will be interesting to see if Clinton talks about any of that.
Hah! For Bill Clinton, it's all (and only) about him.
Bill’s a sore loser.

Poor Bill,
Running out of excuses to garner all attention, to speak of his efforts, and to rewrite history.
How in the world do these weirdo’s ever manage to gain power?
the deal was: the Clintons support Obama and in return Obama helps the Clintons pay off their multi-million dollar campaign debt....rumor is that Obama ain’t doing his part on the moolah; so Bill/Hillary are pissed....I wouldn’t put it past them to knife BHO in the back, and I hope they do.
To paraphrase the haughty John Kerry,
Clinton said “I can’t believe I’m getting rolled by this F*ing guy.”
Do you think he'd mention in his speech the recession that began in March, 2001, that was on him (we didn't get the first Bush budget until October, 2001) and the fact that his eight-year criminal appeasement of Islamic terrorists resulted in an act of war on this nation that, were it not for the economic policies of President Bush, could very well have sent this country into a depression?
Do you think he'd include those two factoids? Me neither.
“Bills a sore loser.”
I can’t wait to see how big of a sore loser nobama is.
Perot
I can’t wait to hear the Clinton crowd start up with the
“He (Obama) was selected, not elected” chants.
In the words of T.O., “Get your popcorn ready!”
How about they just have a screening of “Black Hawk Down” instead?
Let's see if the media reminds us of what Biden said. In my dreams??
