Mondays "American Morning" featured a segment on CNN political analyst Roland Martins recent TV One interview with Michelle Obama which seemingly sought to counter negative assertions about Obama by Republicans and crazy folks on the right.
After airing a clip of Obama talking about her blue-collar upbringing, during which she stated that her story was the "quintessential American story," co-host Kiran Chetry asked Martin about how important it would be for Obama to address that in her speech at the Democratic National Convention. In his reply, Martin contended that "crazy folks on the right" are to blame for mischaracterizations of Obama, although he has previously acknowledged that "idiot Democrats" were also to blame for certain rumors:

An odd thing to say, since many of Barack's and Michelle's ideas/plans are not American at all. I suppose if your ideas differ from hers.....well.....you're just not what this country is supposed to be. What a way to endear yourself to the voters. Keep talking.....please.....
WTF HUH!?
She must be more arrogant than she has even seemed previously if she thinks that everyone will just forget that she said she was only proud of America for the first time when her husband ran for the White House. In her America-hating mind, there is no reason to be proud of America unless she and her husband have the chance to run it (into the ground).
I suppose she meant “in no other country.” There’s plenty of places like Chicago, where leftist government policies have a stranglehold on the residents, are rife with corruption, and make her story possible. New York, DC, San Francisco and New Orleans come to mind; but there are many others.
Maybe she means that only in the corrupt Chicago political machine would a junior senator with less 150 days on the job and no accomplishments on his resume be eligible to run for the position of leader of the free world. Of course, only the ‘rats would consider him a qualified candidate.
I can’t take Roland Martin for even a second! He is CNN’s idea of an “evangelical”. But for the rest of the world, he’s a far left bomb thrower, who deviates from Biblical teaching on a regular basis.
Just ignore him.
Of course, I heard someone try to explain that she meant that welfare recipients would be "required" to work, but I asked them if they were kidding - a leftist telling the entitlement crowd that they have to work?
"Barack Obama will require you to work.
[Like Stalin requiring you to work - no making money from "idle capital".]
He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions.
[Ah! Divisions - things that make cultures different, ie, you must give up the values that you deem important.]
That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones.
[Again, no individualism for you, you're required to join the collective.]
That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed."
[More of the "allow" and force to make you join the collective.]
What’s a “crazy folks on the right” ?
“We’re bacon people!”
You must be one of those typical crazy folks. < /s >
Nabob Media is an anagram of Obama-Biden. Pass it on...
“....we are who Americans were supposed to be.”
You know, she just can’t say it without some kind of qualifier! LOL
Americans need only be one thing really. FREE.
I didn’t know we were supposed to be like Michelle.
No thanks Michelle. And I am a proud American, without qualifiers.
It does get sicker by the day!!
I really don’t know how much more I can stand
Look at posts #1, #3, and #7 above yours and you will see examples of the vicious personal attacks that crazy rightists specialize in.
I liked him so much better when he had his old fishing show on TNN.
