Actor Jean Reno in health scare
Telegraph Online ^ | 8-22-08 | Allen

The Da Vinci Code and Mission: Impossible actor, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, was staying at the holiday home of Gallic pop star Johnny Hallyday in St Bart's when he took a turn for the worst on Wednesday morning. Witnesses described how he slumped on to the wheel of his hire car. "All of a sudden he appeared gripped by a fever, breaking out into a cold sweat and feeling nauseous," said one. Reno's wife, Zofia, alerted emergency services and doctors immediately decided to have him evacuated by plane to the CHU Fort-au-France hospital on the nearby island of Martinique. After the emergency flight - known as a "medevac" - Reno was rushed into intensive care, where doctors began carrying out a number of tests. They initially reported his condition as "unknown" and Reno was discharged earlier this evening. His spokeswoman played down the incident, specifically denying rumours the actor had suffered a heart attack. "Reports that actor Jean Reno is in the hospital due to a heart attack are false," said Christina Papadopoulos. "He is vacationing in the Caribbean and went to a local hospital as a precaution for some discomfort he was feeling due to heartburn and gastroenteritis. "It was definitely was not a heart attack. He is fine and healthy and enjoying the rest of his vacation travelling in the Caribbean." Reno, who was born in Morocco of Spanish parents before adopting French nationality in his late teens, is one of the few actors who have made the transition from French cinema to Hollywood. He found international fame in 1994 film Leon, as an assassin who befriends a young Natalie Portman. His other films include The Pink Panther and Flushed Away. The actor counts French president Nicolas Sarkozy among his closest friends.

What amazes me is that he was 54 when he made that movie.
And Natalie Portman was still cute.

I forgot about Ronin. That’s a great movie.

“What color is the boathouse at Hereford?”

I haven’t seen Flyboys; might have to take a look.

I could have sworn that the movie was called "The Professional."

IIRC, it also had Gary Oldman in a scene chewing, over the top role that would have made Jack Nicholson blush! lol. It was an amusing movie, though.
