Andrea Mitchell said at the opening of the show that both Kaine and Bayh were told by the Obama campaign that they were not the V-P. She also intimated that it would be Biden and that Biden had yet to be told no.

Of all the major contenders; I believe that Biden would be his best choice. Although he can be a real pompous jerk; he is smart, and can debate well. Moreover, he appears to have a certain amount of “gravitas” which the Messiah completely lacks in the judgment of the average voter.
That was my thought. I will say this at the risk of getting flamed but here it goes. I will probably never for for a democrat for president. All I ask of them is they nominate people who take the national security of this nation seriously. Sadly that is not the case with people like Obama. I think Biden is a good pick. Of all the democrats on that stage during the primary season Biden was the only one who came close (not very close but close) to getting it as far as the terrorist threat is concerned.
