Clovis native Rebecca Sitterly registered to vote soon after returning to her native state in 1979 and jumped right into Democratic politics about the same time.
So the former Bernalillo County district judge was surprised to get a July 3 call from a community nonprofit that was checking on her new registration.
When Sitterly said she hadn't filled out a registration form (indeed, she'd been regularly voting in the same place on Mountain Road NW in Albuquerque for nearly 20 years) a supervisor with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now promised to destroy the card, Sitterly said in a phone interview.
More surprises were in store. She got a call from the Bureau of Elections in the Bernalillo County Clerk's Office three weeks later, asking again about the registration card, which was missing its required Social Security number.
"They were finishing out the card; they weren't calling about the fraud," she said.
Sitterly went to the sixth-floor clerk's office, got a copy of the card and discovered that it understated her age by three decades. Even more startling to the former Democratic officeholder: She was listed as a Republican.
That fraudulent registration card is one of a few similar cases that have been referred this year to the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department, County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver said.

ACORN says it has registered a historic number of new voters in New Mexico, more than 65,000 primarily low-income and minority voters as of Aug. 12, including 10,000 in Dona Ana County.
"Even with clear evidence that our program successfully identifies fraudulent cards and identifies them as such to the county clerk, you guys still haven't reported on the real success of this campaign, and your focus is on one card," ACORN head organizer Matthew Henderson said.

The bottom line is that there might be as many as 65,000 votes going to mostly Democratic candidates here in New Mexico, which will certainly impact many election races that have always been historically closely fought.
NM list PING!
U.S. Sen. Barack Obamas presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrats campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports. An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. a subsidiary of ACORN worked in get-out-the-vote projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.
Vote fraud by the ‘Rats? Say it ain’t so!

Your link in #3 above goes back to my thread. Do you have another link??
“Voter registration” and “elections” in this country have become a bigger joke than a bunch of whinyass politicians whining about illegal aliens needing driver’s licenses. Voter fraud is rampant in this country and nobody cares or is doing anything about it. This has to be expected though since most Recorder’s Offices are infested with ‘RATS. The upcoming “election” is going to be a joke. It is only appropriate that B. Hussein Obama is probably going to be the winner.
Also notice that the fraudulent voter was listed as a Republican. ACORN probably figured that a Rep voter card would get less scrutiny than a dem card. I wonder how many fraudulent Republicans are gonna be votin’ democrap this time?
No way they can win without cheating. You can take that to the bank!
I remember listening to 770 KOB a few years back on an election day. They did a news item about an Albuquerque woman who went in to vote and as she signed the sheet, she found that her deceased husband had already signed in and voted there earlier day. She then said that she was pretty sure that her husband was dead since she had gone to the funeral and then buried him. Our “elections” have become nothing more than a joke. There are way too many “zombies” out there voting.
Ping.
No. They register as Republicans.
Voter fraud and ballot counting fraud will abound this time around.
For 7 1/2 years under the Bush DoJ, the interstate crime syndicate known as ACORN has been allowed to flourish.
Bill Richardson’s cohorts??
