Could it be that, in his complete arrogance and desire to thumb his nose at Bush, that this is the MAIN reason that Obama has Edwards on the short list? Is it so he can say, in effect, "Ha ha, Mr. President, I'm going to beat you over the head with your own congressman?" If so, Obama is even more "out there" than I thought.

Maybe it’ll prompt McCain to choose a conservative running mate for himself. That would be good.
I had this horrible feeling that it would do the opposite...McCain might think he's the conservative part and then stick Joe Leiberman on the ticket to balance Barry/Chet.
