I just asked my 10-year-old daughter if she wanted to see the latest video on Barack Obama.
She asked if it would say bad things about him. I responded, "Yes".
She asked if there were any things bad said about John McCain. I responded, "Yes."
I explained to her this election could be a choice between the "lesser of two evils". Her response...

nice.
One of the things I will be forever grateful to George W. Bush for is his restoration of dignity to the office of the Presidency, if even for only eight years.
I don’t have to walk by a television and be treated to the spectacle of the President of the United States wearing sunglasses and talking about his underwear, or denying some kind of sexual encounter or financial shady dealings.
For all the faults of George W. Bush, his lack of ideological leadership, his stance on immigration and so on, he is at the very least an honorable man.
Thank God for that. I will miss him when he returns to private life.
I agree with the daughter. We SHOULD keep George Bush.
“and talking about his underwear,”
What was the whole point of that boxers vs briefs thing anyway? Is one considered more studly than the other? sounds like a queer inside joke.....

Sorry, Honey, we live in a “democracy”
At least we will until Jan 20, 2009, if Obama gets in...
Nope, the poor man has suffered enough
To drive traffic. It’s called blogpimping.
Why subject your child to rhetoric they won’t understand and don’t have a use for? Misdirected parenting.
Ooops. “She” and “doesn’t.”

Heck, I don’t know. All I know is that I want my President to act like he loves his country, act like he is a monogamous male, act like he has moral values, and not talk about his frikking underwear.
Even if he falls short on these things, I damned well expect him to act the part. If I wanted a Frat boy in the White House, I would vote for Bluto hands down.
On second thought, that might not be a bad idea. At least the Germans wouldn’t think about attacking Pearl Harbor again.
Yeah...it sure is. Newsbusters does it too. It ain’t pretty.
I agree with your daughter Mr Parks. Thanks for that one.

Dumbing down happens enough in school. Keeping them dumb and uninformed at home could be also considered “misdirected parenting”.
