The following entry (http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/greatblog/gGgxz2/commentary) is currently (August 20, 2008) online at My.Barackobama.com, over which the Obama campaign exercises editorial control. The moderators whose job is to delete offensive and disrespectful content apparently had no trouble with an entry that says Israel has no right to exist as a Jewish state. ...
WHETHER ISRAEL HAS A RIGHT TO EXIST ******* AS ********** A JEWISH STATEThat is , a state which privileges jewish culture, holidays , ideas and rights are given official status over any other citizens.
I suspect many who SAY they support the Right of Israel to exist simply mean the right of jewish people to celebrate their own religion and culture in peace. If that is what is meant I am right there with them
BUT if they mean the RIGHT of Israel to give some people rights because they are jews and deny these to others who are not
Well then I do not support Israels right to exist
And neither should Obama. A Jewish State of this sort can no more be a Democracy than an Islamic State.

I’m shocked, I tell you. Shocked.
And the gaffes just keep on coming!
He should support a gun ban .... he keeps shooting himself in the foot as he shoots off his mouth .....
It just makes no sense?
Just forwarded it to other blog sites, authors, etc. Before this gets removed from Obama’s site (as they have done so often in the past with these type of entries on his site) this needs to burn up cyber space. More insight into Obama’s outrageous supporters and their prejudice. Supporters who echo Obama’s true beliefs, obviously.
I hear ya - I have never been able to understand why Jews continue to largely support Democrats.
“”””What’s amazing is that large number of Jews back the Democrats historically. I wonder why? Carter, Clinton, Obama........ Why do so many like Streisand back politicians who inherently are secular, anti-Israel......””””
Remove one of those Democrats from your list. Namely, Jimmy Carter.
The Jewish community did not support Jimmy in his 1980 election and our nice Southern Gentleman has never forgotten it.
Now, you understand Jimmy Carter and his continual jabbing at Israel.
Never say that a liberal never holds a grudge.
huge number of Jews don’t care at all about Israel
>>huge number of Jews dont care at all about Israel<<
I’m seriously asking here. Is that true? Why?
They just don’t. Seems very alien to them, they’ve never been there. Its a troubled place full of people who seem very unlike Americans, people they don’t identify with. The media portrays the Israelis as the bad guys which makes them uncomfortable. All in all, they are much more invested in their feelings of moral superiority that they get through embracing leftist politics.
What he REALLY means:
BUT if they mean the RIGHT of BLACKS to give some people rights because they are BLACK and deny these to others who are not
The Dalai Bama should select Al Sharpton, aka, Julius Streicher, as his running mate. Al, a virulent anti-Semite, would fit that ticket very well. By the by, are Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann still fighting over who gets to perform Obama’s ablutions.
American Jews may not care that much about Israel until it is maligned by somebody. Then they rise to defend Israel.
Ask the Mainline Protestant churches who have maligned Israel as to the American Jewry reaction.
American Jews don’t care about Israel??
Here is a posting someone just put up on FR-—
Better rethink what you said.
Republican Jewish Coalition: Dont let Carter speak in Denver

Washington, D.C. (August 20, 2008) The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) today called on Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic Party leadership to remove former President Jimmy Carter from the program at the Democratic National Convention. Yesterday it was announced that Carter is scheduled to speak at the Convention in Denver on Monday, August 25, 2008. Through the years, President Carter has consistently demonstrated by his statements and actions a troubling anti-Israel bias. In April 2008, despite strong protests by Israeli leaders, the U.S. State Department and several Democratic leaders, Carter met with Hamas leader Khaled Meshal in Syria. In...
Here’s to betting they have no problem with Islamic states.
I agree but what amazes me is one of Obama’s biggest supporters, the Nation of Islam, a black organization, hates Jews and people don’t see this.
