Even more disturbing has the reports of the King of Jordan flying to Moscow for meetings.

Besides, do you think Russia wants Iran to get nukes?

Russia is providing the technical assistance for Iran's nuclear program.

Russia is providing the uranium for Iran's nuclear program.

Russia is one of two countries that keeps vetoing sanctions on Iran's nuclear program.

Draw your own conclusions.

look at this

"The Estonian delegation headed by the country's President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, has left a forum for Finno-Ugric nations in protest at comments made by the Chairman of Russian Duma's (Parliament's) International Affairs Committee, Konstantin Kosachev, who said that Estonia's ethnic policies are "unprincipled".

Later in another post they reported that the presidents of Hungary (not Norway) and Finland also stood up and left.

Fair nuff.

Let me ask you a different question, if I may.

How do you think this will be blamed on Bush?

The US provoked Russia by putting missiles in Russia’s backyard and invading the Middle East for oil. Russia is the victim here. Once again this is all said by the Left.

Yesterday they were blaming Cheney (which I guess could wind its way up to Bush).

>>I hope it happens before the elections. Bush could stay on indefinitely.”

Shew....don't think our national pocketbook could handle an indefinite Bush presidency.

I’m glad my children are grown. You know this has been coming for a long, long time. Time for another one of those world changing events that move us forward.

Does anyone know what Russia’s GDP is?

We bankrupted them before, wonder if we have the resources to do it again?

Cafe Press has some great “Free Georgia” gear. I love the Georgian flag which features the St. George’s cross surrounded by four Jerusalem (Crusader) Crosses.

But, wouldn’t it drive the Libs insane?

They’ve been predicting this.

“But think of the largest conventional war you’ve ever seen. It will come down to what all wars come down to. Resources and boots in the field.”

Always. I agree.

I think if we get tied up with the Russians, China is going to make a bid for the “Northern Resource Area”. Just like in Tom Clancy’s “Bear and the Dragon”, just this time we are not help the Russians. I would say some folks are looking at the old Nato maps and seeing what bases need to be put back online or old Soviet bases we can take over.

“Another pointless comment from you.”

Easy for you to say, but you have not backed up anything.

Rather than focus on the joker who is the apparent DemocRat candidate, I’d focus on the more important question:

WWRD????

What Would Reagan Do?

Can’t say exactly, but I think Reagan would be more decisive in calling for immediate diplomatic steps, such as dumping Russia from G8, possibly convening a special meeting of NATO leaders to present a solid front and calling what Russia is doing by its proper name: naked aggression.

Another thing really drives me nuts: why doesn’t someone call the Rooskies on the idiotic concept that a defensive missle shield is somehow an offensive act calling for “a response beyond diplomacy”? A missle shield is there to shield against missles (Duh). You can’t fire a missle shield against another country. If it were placed next to a missle launching location or other installation expressly designed for attacking Russia, I could see the argument.

Yes, that is my thinking as well. A world-changing event is about to happen.

It is so sad to me that it has begun in Georgia, my second home and a place where there are many many people I know well and care about.

How does Reforger 2008 sound? I think we left most of the equipment for a Corp over in Germany sitting in storage. I know we have enugh for a Division still there, plus the Ready Reserve ships sitting in Norfolk. We could move a whole bunch of gear that way quickly.
