Dem supporters asked to buy Obama speech tickets

Two known Democratic supporters are outraged at their own party after being solicited to buy tickets to Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field next Thursday, CBS4 reports. The seats were distributed for free to the general public.

One source directed CBS4 to an unpublicized part of the Obama campaign's Web site where Democratic supporters, reportedly with deep pockets, could buy tickets for $1,000 each. The source told CBS4 he was solicited three times to buy the tickets through the Web site.

One source said it was unethical and being kept secret from the public.

CBS4 was able to find the Web site only by directly typing in the URL provided by the source. While CBS4 attempted to contact the Obama campaign about the selling of tickets, the pay-for-tickets page was changed to say no more tickets were available

Outraged Moonbats solicited to buy tickets to Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field ...

What's the problem ?
Obama is simply using his street smarts from his community organizing days in Chicago.
His deep pocketed moonbats sit up front, the followers of the beast in the rear.

I wonder if you can buy them with MyBO Points?

He’s definitely using that Chicago touch. Many of the seats have already been bought in blocks for distribution to his goon squad of “community representatives” all over the country who are being bused to Denver at somebody else’s expense. I guess the fat cats are getting to underwrite this with their $1000 tix.

Isn’t scalping illegal? Obtaining free tickets and selling them for $1000 certainly falls under the category of scalping.

That’s even more than it costs to attend a Broncos game (apparently the top price for a single game ticket is $125). If they could sell one-third of the seats at $1,000 each, that would raise $25 million.

I'm SHOCKED that the Obama campaign would expect the rich to pay more...

It could be worth it if he has Elvis in concert as his opening act this time.

Obama’s bas e has no money. There are only a few elite liberals and they are stingy.”

What are the current campaign rules?

Does the limit on contributions start all over for the General election VS the Primaries?
I am confused. Can anyone get this straight?

We don't need no stinkin' "Tickets".

Or badges.

There are limits if you take public funds. Originally Obama agreed to go that route if McCain would. And then he lied and didn’t.
