In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack Obama in the U.S. presidential race and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.
McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

If Hillary takes the nomination, she might make Obama her VP. That might quell the riots. Then again, it might not.

I don’t think it would.
The blacks want Obama as the first black President.
Anything less would be a slap from “whitey”
They see him as the annointed one.

I guess “back of the bus” is worse than “under the bus”.

I wish this had happened later as Hillary's people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation. Yes, Hillary is a greater threat than Obama at this point.
McCain had best be prepared. "Anything can happen." The Clintons know this all too well. (Often they're the cause.)

... There is nothing the dems can do to alienate the typical black voter. The pathology is too established ..."
Correct.
Should the Dims rethink (yeah ... I know, oxymoron) the partially black dude for the happily married Hillary, the hyphenated blacks will still go over the cliff like the lemmings.

"There is no doubt the campaign to discredit Obama McCain
is NOT
paying off for McCain..."There you go, John. Let's just stick to the truth, shall we?
The Democrats have been in panic mode for some time now, as they realize they have chosen a horribly flawed, unelectable candidate. They're in a mess--of their own creation--and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving gang of lying, self-serving, sociopathic gutter rats.
I expect McCain to widen his lead over Obama more and more as November approaches and to win the Presidency by a large margin--probably a landslide.
The miracle of all this is that the rejection of Obama occurs in spite of a relentless, ubiquitous, unceasing barrage of propaganda aimed at the American people by the so-called "journalists" of the "Mainstream Newsmedia", "celebrities", and other Democrat operatives and sympathizers--with their usual distortions, voluntary censorship, disinformation, mendacity, attempts at subtle and not-so-subtle persuasion, et c., et al.

I wish this had happened later as Hillary's people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation.Such a move now would probably permanently destroy the Democrat Party and her winning the general election would be impossible if Hillary stages a successful coup at the convention.
One of the delicious ironies of the Democrat dilemma is they have lifted up two icons of "entitled" candidacy - a black man and a woman. Both want their historic "place" in history and both are claiming, "I am more entitled to my historic stature than my opponent."
It's all style over substance and the Democrats are in a lose/lose situation.
To: jalisco555
“No, I think it’s good that buyer’s remorse and anxiety will be the theme of the convention. Obama will be the nominee but will be weakened, not strengthened at Denver”.
Plus, even if they did steal it, then the other side will feel jipped and ripped off, like the Hillary people are feeling now.
That was the problem for them, no matter what candidate was chosen the other was discrimated against somehow.

My FIL has finally jumped off the Obama train. He is such a smart man...I can’t believe he ever considered Obama a QUALIFIED choice. Anyway, he regained his sanity this week and doesn’t trust Obama now.

I wish this had happened later as Hillary's people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation. If Hillary walks away with the nomination, then the black people and the left wing ideologues who are all ga ga for Obama will sit the election out in protest.
Hillary is looking at 2012. If she is secretly undermining Obama's chances, it is because she has her eye on the 2012 election. If she takes it away from Obama at this point, then she will never get elected president and she, being the smartest woman in the world, should know this.

Pubbies should be making plans to campaign against Hillary switching to hillary now will cost the dems more votes than it will gain them, and the DNC in denver will make 68 in chicago look like a county fair

Hehehe...polls now turnig against Obama. My guess if the poolls are showing this kind of lead, the reality is much, muhc worse for the
Obamanation.
...as regards Hillary. Let her. If she is somehow successful that will fracture the dems worse than they already are.
