A local reporter did a LOT of research to find answers to the questions and his articles are conveniently archived here .
He discovered it wasn't just a local problem but is happening in small towns across the country.
There's a lot to read, if you care to take the time, but it explains what is happening and how it's being done. And my guess is that the problems Shelbyville is dealing with are the same in the other towns this is happening to.
I wouldn’t knowingly step into a Tyson product, much less eat it.

That excerpt from one of the articles from your link probably tells us most of what we need to know. The owners of Tyson are the lowest of the low, and have no value in this life other than operating as cheaply as possible and maximizing their short term profits. Companies such as that working with the open borders, half-wits in the State Department and this is the sort of result we get.
There have been at least three indictments filed. No, not of top executives, of the mid level people involved in hiring. You're implying they were using the instacheck system when you say SSN's that clear the system. If so, that's an "indictment" of the system, but I'm a bit skeptical. Irrespective of whether top level executives were involved, or were simply poor managers, they bear managerial responsibility. It's a poor reflection on the company. They need to improve their hiring practices.

Also, remember how Mike Huckabee ended up dancing around and double-talking about some of the aid he gave to Tyson in getting Hispanic workers to Tyson plants in Arkansas. Bringing in large numbers of poor illegal and legal immigrant labor to communities seems to be a habit of Tyson. That company really has a tough time finding American citizen workers...

As far as ANY meat or poultry processing is concerned, my former husband has been in the business for more than 30 years and when I told him I planned to boycott Tyson, he laughed. He told me that you cannot buy ANY meat or poultry, from any company, that has not, at some point in the process (slaughter to grocery shelf) that hasn’t been touched/handled by illegals.
After 30 years, my ex was just forced out and lost his career so that they can hire slave labor for next to nothing. They get rid of the full timer, hire two part timers (no benefits), work them like dogs, and charge each of them full union dues.
Eventually, American workers will be out of stores, illegals in. So much for ‘picking lettuce’. They’re moving up the food chain. In spite of his many years of experience, he was just told by the union Rep. for Kroger stores that if he wants to return to the industry, he would have to start out as a part time clerk.

If I knew of somewhere to get meat that wasn’t handled by illegals, I certainly would patronize the business.
The immigration problem is an example of trying to close the barn door after the animals are already out. Hiring illigals to build a fence to keep out illegals. Now spending exhorbant amounts of money to arrest 300 illegals to deport them, so their buddies building the fence can help them get back in...vicious circle. The Keystone Cops come to mind.....our priorities are out of order.
Sure deport the healthy mexicans and bring in the diseased, terrorists...what were they thinking? They can put stuff in the food instead of bombs, so give them a visa and a job in a chicken plant...

“Cheap legals” have been around for a long time. When my great grandfather worked the mines 80 years ago, there wasn’t much English being spoken down there. I wonder if the Anglos complained back then (I know there were anti-immigrant riots in West Virginia).

Buying every one of those illegals a brand new Hybrid SUV to drive over the border to home with still enough left over for solid gold handcuffs is a good indication of the VERY Willfull intention of bankrupt our nation for the New World Order.
Our government has declared war on us isn’t it obvious? They never found a non productive boondoggle of a program they did not like, but actually spending money on things that build the infrastructure of the nation, or allow us to burn our own oil? No, too broke, gotta give away social security to illegals and spend a few billion more shipping them over the border.

One disturbing bit of info he uncovered in his research is that the organization that brings the Somalians into the country doesn’t keep tabs on them. They keep them for a few weeks, give them some cash, and send them forth on the unsuspecting populace.
They didn’t know about Shelbyville’s Somalians until Brian contacted them last winter. Now they supposedly have some folks stepping in to “help” but from what I understand, they haven’t done much yet.
This problem is most likely the same in other towns that are dealing with this situation.
Until enough people speak up about it and raise cain, they'll continue to get away with it.
After the raid in Laurel, MS. African Americans were filling out job aps within hours. If your mad about a company hiring muslim immigrants/illegal aliens, blame the company.
Since our nation is suffering a financial crisis, shouldn’t we have a moratorium on immigration, work permits, visas, green cards etc so we can take care of our own? Then, how can we possibly afford to be taking in refugees from Somalia? We can’t take care of the poor already here.
Our govt won’t prevent the illegals, and all the while, it is busy allowing other 3rd worlders in legally. With the reproductive rates of third worlders holding steady at supersonic levels, and now here being well fed, they will be kicking their thrusters into overdrive.
