According to the report, the Pakistani officials confirmed that Maulana Faqir Muhammad was killed during the fighting between the Taliban and the Pakistani security forces in the tribal district of Bajaur Agency.Big news if true....Muhammad is friend and protector of Ayman Zawahiri.

It does seem that the Pakistan Tribal Awakening is taking root and spreading in the tribal regions of Pakistan known as the FATA and the NWFP. I noted in one post yesterday how tribes in one area of the NWFP province had set up security details and hunted down Taliban militants in their region.

I also posted yesterday on reports from the strife torn Kurram Agency of FATA that three local tribes had publicly announced support for Pakistan government intervention in the agency to take out the extremist Taliban and their al-Qaeda allies. Today that number of tribes supporting military action in their local has grown to six:

The Indonesian Kid, Pelosi and Reid and all their ilk will have a very difficult time this fall if McCain's staff pick up on this stuff and educate him how best to present this to the American public. He can show how GWB's plan is leading to full fruitation and at the same time show his toughness all along on radical Islam has proven the correct course.
A win win situation for McCain IF his staff plays it right with upcoming adds, as well as the comments that can be slipped in during the POTUS elect debates.

Yes, I do enjoy them. I have about 25 plants, and more tomatoes than I can use, so I am freezing them. I used to can them, but don’t have time.

The frozen ones are good in stews, soups in the wintertime.

Reading this article made me think about the elections in Iraq, the many images of the Iraqis walking miles (sometimes in grave danger), showing their purple thumbs, to make a difference in their country’s destiny.

I believe the same thing is happening in Afghanistan. I know a young man (soldier) there now who is one of many making a difference.It’s going to be VERY difficult for the dems to scream about what a failure our mission in the WOT has been.

Then, we have the upcoming democratic convention. Now that will be a freak show, enough to move many undecideds and conservative democrats (yes there is such a thing) to our side. Even the democrats I know are VERY frightened of Obama.

I was going to comment whether you canned them or not.
Let us hope a majority of Americans who view their convention will see it as it is... a freak show... and get scared enough as you indicate to vote for McCain.
He at least will not falter in the military and security arena. We can vote out RINOs in due time. Putin has a agenda that requires someone like McCain to counter balance it. The fizzle boy would really put us in dangerous position.
And clearly the boy from Indonesia has made it clear he would screw around with our military. The stakes are high.
