Obama Turns Back The Economy
MSNBC First Read ^ | Aug. 17, 2008 | Athena Jones

Posted on 08/17/2008 2:49:26 PM PDT by FocusNexus

Obama held a town hall and gave brief remarks on his economic plans. And used every opportunity to draw contrasts with McCain on tax policy, health care and energy, hitting the Arizona senator for running negative ads and repeatedly saying that he had not been truthful about issues ranging from dealing with high fuel costs to his support for alternative energy.

"John McCain and I fundamentally disagree on how we are gonna move this country forward. He ran a negative ad -- which is most of the ads he runs -- he ran a negative ad that claimed all my economic plan was was higher taxes and that it would lead to economic disaster," Obama said, before going on to tell the audience that his tax policy would benefit the middle class more than McCain's.

"Obama Turns Back The Economy " -- true title by accident, he surely WOULD turn the economy back, if he got elected. I think they meant to say he turns back TO the economy.

Sounds like all he does is whine, but offers no positive plan. I smell desperation -- people are starting to notice that Obamemperor has no clothes, no plan, and would indeed be a disaster for the US.

Watch this great and true McCain ad: Obama the Taxman, if you haven't seen it yet.

Just noticed this little tid-bit in the article:

"The crowd of about 250 people was made up of union members and local activists, and tickets were distributed through the local campaign, according to a staffer."

Crowd of 250? What happened to the crowd of thousands chanting "Obama, Obama"?

Yeah, the stadium he rented for his coronation may turn into an interesting situation.

Saw a short clip of the event on FOXNEWS, my observation at the time;

Seen a clip of Obama doing a TownHall in Reno today on FOX, audience looks deflated, and Obama is holding the mic close and straight under his chin like he was just repeating some well rehearsed speech.

.
And now we know why.

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers responded with this statement. "If Barack Obama believes his plan will not bring 'economic disaster,' he should take issue with Nevada's largest newspaper -- not John McCain. The Las Vegas Review-Journal said Obama's tax and energy plans would be a 'recipe for economic disaster.'" Yet as First Read pointed out on Friday, that "economic disaster" quote came from the paper's conservative editorial pages.

Isn't it supposed to be editorial pages that express opinions in newspapers? I realize this concept may be lost on NBC, since their "news" reporting is indistinguishable from commentary (liberal of course). Still, I don't remember them ever feeling compelled point out that it was the "liberal editorial pages" when quoting an opinion from the NY Time or Washington Post.

No, the liberals Obama has mesmerized with his mastery of empty-headed PC will show up...just like they did for him back in the 70s. I can't believe Corsi missed this chapter of Obama's life in his new book:

Well, I don’t think it is going to help Barack Hussein Obama to try to shift to the domestic issues - his “tax-reform” plan and his “alternative engry” plan are just more socialism. He’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over his head, it showed in that church discussion.

Unelectable.

“What happened to the crowd of thousands chanting...”

I guess they must have watched his inane answers to Warren last night. How long can one expect to fool even an uneducated crowd?

Great strategy, Obama! Keep complaining about McCain's ads. That will really impress the voters. Obama is chasing his tail and becoming a bore to his base. He already is boring perhaps because he has no substance, other than his desire to implement global Marxism.
