The real question is; When is the black community going to do something for the black community besides blame whitey?

Because the dems have sold their constituents the idea that democrat policies would help them if only those evil Republicans would not get in the way.
The reality is that democrat policies hurt those they pretend to help.

It was planned...

“...while on a trip with two governors, Johnson reportedly made the following comment in explaining why the civil rights bill was so important to him. He said it was simple: ? I’ll have them niggers voting Democratic for two
hundred years.”

The rest is history.

Republicans offer a hand up.

Democrats offer a hand out.

You figure it out.

Ignorance... gullibility, herd mentality and a general preference for socialist policy.

I’ve said it on other threads and I’ll repost it here: It was the Republican Party that abolished slavery in this country.

That, in itself, ought to tell the black community that it is Republicans who embrace their values as persons.

One has to wonder if the Bell Curve doesn’t really come into play when one hears about the ignorance of balck people voting for those who have and will enslave them.

With the Kwamie Kilpatrick show on full display, all the dirty laundry is out on display.

When the African-American super delegate to the Democratic convention, screams a an African-American cop, “What the F____ are you doing even riding in a car with someone named White” (The sheriff's deputy had “white” skin. ) The answer is simple, African-American hatred of white people.

In the Kwamsters last election, he was behind in the polls until he tarnished his opponent with being supported by the suburbs. This was the code that energized his base in the Democratic Party, and he easily won reelection.

When Dean said the GOP was the party of White People, this was just “Kwamie Code”, to get those African-Americans who hate white people, like the Mayor of Detroit, to express their hatred, by not voting GOP, and default to the Democratic Party.

To answer the question African-Americans vote for the rats, out of anti-white hostility.

Its not really mysterious. The Democrats have made vote buying predicated on the idea this country owes people something a reason to build party loyalty successfully. It may be damaging to be the country's founding principles and core identity but it matters not a whit. The Race Card TM has been very successful in winning votes from the Democrats and they see no reason why they should ever give it up.

LBJ's Great Society, the most horrific series of legislation in American history. It destroyed the black family and made millions forever dependent on the government, the majority of whom are black. Thus, paradoxically, those whom the Dems destroyed are the Dems’ biggest supporters. Go figure.

Equal rights for blacks in AMerica did NOT start in 1865, with the 14th Amendment, NOT in 1954 with “Brown v. Board of Education”, or even the 1965 Civil Rights Act. It came in the 1970’s when blacks became a reliable Democrat Party vote. If you see where blacks vote 20% or more Republican, look for a revival of the military arm of the Democrat Party, the KKK.

The article is well written but incorrect. The majority of blacks believe in the same positions that conservatives do - anti-abortion, against gay “rights,” generally pro-death penalty, and even against affirmative action when it’s presented as “giving preferential treatment to one group over another on the basis of race.”

I had a young black female coworker years back that was a die-hard Democrat. In a conversation one day, I took her through the entire Republican platform, and she agreed with Republican positions all the way down the line. When I told her that we’d just gone through the Republican platform, she was understandably surprised. Then I asked her if she’d now vote Republican instead of Democrat, and she said, emphatically, “No.”

It was my turn to be surprised. I asked her why she wouldn’t vote for a party whose positions she agreed with 100%. Her answer was simple, stunning, and highly educational: “Because Republicans hate black people.”

That’s the bottom line. Democrats have told blacks for fifty years now that “Republicans hate black people.” Because the GOP doesn’t counter that lie, it continues to stand — sort of an assent by silence.

Until the GOP recognizes and addresses that fundamental issue, the black community will continue to vote 90% Democrat.

Because people like Howard Dean continue to tell them that Republicans don’t like black people. And sadly, most can’t see through that garbage and realize that it is incorrect.

“So when some observers wonder what the Republican Party is going to “do for” the “black community,” most Republicans will have a certain look of puzzlement on our faces, as if someone just asked why we don’t offer attachable wings so that our prospective party members can fly. “

I love this. It’s hilarious. And true.

Most critics to pinpoint the most important SINGLE cause of the cultural degradation in much of the black community. That cause is the destruction of the 2 parent black family. The precipitate cause of this tragedy was the welfare state created by LBJ and (mostly) the DemocRAT Party. But since Barack He who must not be middle named Obama wants to extend and expand the welfare state to all of America, he is careful to avoid drawing the correct conclusions. Oh he gives lip service to the notion of personal responsibility, but is extremely careful to avoid any implication of the DemocRAT Party.
When you point out that the Democratic Party’s entire history and policies have been antithetical to the best interests of the black community, and that to the extent that a major political party is responsible for any political and civil liberty that black people have, they owe it to the Republican Party, and even when you can prove that historically and factually the most amazing case of political cognitive dissonance then occurs.
The common response is, well that may be true but only the Democrats are “for us”. They usually go on to an entirely erroneous understanding of Nixon’s Southern strategy, a distortion of Berry Goldwater’s principled opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and completely ignore the fact that the Democratic Party was founded amongst other things, to extend slavery into the territory’s. The Democratic Party opposed 13, 14, and 15th amendment to the United States Constitution, reconstruction, every bit of foundational civil rights legislation from 1866 to 1968, instituted Jim Crow in the Southern states, refused to enact antilynching laws, and most importantly destroyed the two-parent black family with Lyndon Johnson’s welfare state. When you point out the fact that the modern-day Democratic Party is home to the pro-abortion forces that have enhanced the wildly disproportionate abortion rate in the black community, that doesn’t seem to register either.
The black community is in the throes of the worst political brainwashing outside of the Soviet Union and I just don’t know what can be done about it. I am constantly engaged in debates with people in my community and they are determined to vote for Democrats despite the clear and present evidence of their utterly destructive policies. The staggeringly high level of political cognitive dissonance amongst my people is frightening. Untill the black community attains some level of introspection, it is doomed to a level of frustration that no level of Republican outreach can fix.
