UKRAINE yesterday offered to create a joint missile defence network with the West amid fears that its port city of Sebastopol, home of the Russian Black Sea fleet, could become the next flashpoint between Russia and its former satellites.

The Ukrainian offer, which means its early warning radar stations could become part of the West

Ukraine better watch it’s A$$. Only a heartbeat away from joining Georgia in spite of being much larger. It’s not nice to screw with mother Russia. What would the West, including NATO, do if that happened? Why, wring it’s hands and wet it’s pants, of course. What else? AND we had better get used to the rest of the world rubbing our nose in it if the Dims get in.

well if all these post soviet countries are in dire straights they
Should for an military Aliance

Certainly not NATO because no one will come from there
Just as in old times a bulwark of third world nationas facing barbariN hordes that in their horror also protect the progressive inclusive what’s known as q
Western countries.

If they are armed and united they could even hold the chinese once they get up to it.

This third world bulwark better fight because cavalry is only there to give cheap visions of grandour, but they still listen to empty words and take all the weapon systems which nobles just ones have no more use for.

Our missile defenses aren’t built to handle the numbers they can throw.

Yeah, we had none until Bush pulled out of the treaty with Putin, pissing him off to no end...LOL. You think maybe he saw this coming? I think they did.

I addressed you because you are worried about having a nuke drop on your head, and that is something I lived with throughout the cold war.

I learned two things during that time. 1. & 2. You cannot appease a Russian, and that means not fearing the Bear, or what the Bear might do.

If you want a third one, it's when a Russians mouth is moving, he is lying.

The point is that Bush is doing everything we can do, and we don't want war, but will also will no longer be intimidated. That's what condi meant when she said it's no longer the 60s and you are not getting away with it if we can stop it.

So don't worry to much, as there is really nothing you can do except support the country at this time. Whatever happens, happens.

That's what we did before, and it ain't easy but it doable.

Having actually been a Cold Warrior (military-industrial complex engineer/scientist type) and given my age I know at least as much as you do about “living through the cold war.” That said, we need rollback here as in regime change in Moscow, not containment.

If you think appeasing them is the thing to do, you don’t understand Russians.

You might want to mention that to Barak Hussein Obama

What we need and what we get may be different, but in time the same. I don't know, as we are most certainly in the second inning of a game where it could be rain shortened, or go extra innings. We will react to what they do.

I challenged you because of the words you chose, not your experiences or lack of them. On that I made no claims. I just did not agree with your chosen words on one post. It seems you react to me as you do the Bolsheviks. Maybe that's just a style issue.

Ukraine in NATO now, Russia out of Sebastopol in 2017. Simple as that.

I would if he became a problem. One can only hope we get the president we need and not the one we deserve.

No....I went back and looked at your post. What you did was use some sort of quote from a movie or some such and you failed to use quotation marks to tell me that someone else had said the words.

So what do you expect?

You wrote it, you posted it, and I found the words to be non germain to the topic, or some sort of strange apprehension or fear that was out of place.

So I essentially told you what I thought and you are reacting like a drunken bar tart.

Have a nice day.............

AMEN! With Ukraine AND Poland in NATO, we have a better chance of containing Russia. The only good Russia, IMHO, is an isolated Russia.

And what when Moscow turns off gas and electricity to all of Ukraine in the dead of winter? How long will their bravado last, I ask you?

Offering the sailors a bigger paycheck to work for you than they can get from their Navy is easier— it works with their scientists, anyway.

Better get some alternatives period. Depending on Russia is foolish in the extreme.
