A recent lawsuit filed by radio host and author Michael Savage against Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is one of the latest acts of racism against Muslims in the United States.
Savage, who is often criticized for his fascist and racist opinions, sued Washington-based CAIR for copyright infringement, saying the council had rebroadcast over four minutes from his radio show The Savage Nation on their website as an example of the bigotry and hatred against Muslims in the US.
The excerpts had placed the San Francisco-based host's hateful comments against Islam, Muslims and their holy book, Qur'an, on their website. Savage had also linked CAIR to terrorist organizations.
A federal district court in California dismissed Savage's suit in July, maintaining that the use of limited portions of the material for commentary and criticism falls within copyright law's fair use exception.
Savage's lawsuit against CAIR was dismissed in July. However, the incident has indicated that there is a good deal of effort in US media to somehow make a connection between Islam and terrorism.

Clearly you don’t listen to Savage. Typical of your ilk to criticize those you have never listened to. Savage joins the ranks of a growing number of American patriots who are attacked by the left for the heinous crime of telling the truth. Islam is a “religion” which demands that its followers kill anyone who stands in its path of world domination, steal their property and sell their families into slavery. Savage pointed out that this is quite rightly what the Quran says. Of course no one is permitted to delve into the non-PC. Rather, we must ignore facts and deem Islam the Religion of Peace. After all, beheading does make for a very peaceable victim.

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).

Michael Savage has taken up any number of grand-sounding causes in the last few years and then dropped them when he lost interest, and (it seems to me) he loses interest when the "contributions" he solicits stop rolling in. I say "the last few years" because that's how long he's been embarrassing himself on an AM station that serves the market I live in. For all I know, he's been engaging in this tactic from day one in the San Francisco market in which he first gained fame. He is at best a phony, and does no one any good when he mounts a madcap campaign to confront an organization as dangerous as CAIR, which can now be expected to make maximum use of their "victory" over him.
People like Michael Savage have been around forever. You used to be able to hear them raving in mental asylums. These days, they can be given national radio hookups.

Everything I wanted to learn about Islam I learned on 9/11!
But frankly, it started even earlier than that. And, now, the more I learn about this so-called "religion", the more I'm convinced we need to take measures to restrict the immigration of Islam's practitioners into this country or we will have another Europe on our hands!

His lawyer already wrote the 160 page appeal. Savage dropped it after the appeal was already written by his lawyer.
If you think CAIR is not racketeering or supporting terror groups, then you should really research CAIR more carefully.
