Netnuts hide 'The Obama Nation' at Costco(crazy, juvenile action)

Posted on 08/16/2008 10:00:20 AM PDT by maccaca

This is absolutely crazy and amusing. Some daily kossacks were so upset over 'The Obama Nation', they went to Costco and attempted to hide the books from being seeing by shoppers. Here's what I found on dailykos.

In the last election cycle, the CEO of Costco, Jim Sinegal and the Chairman of the Board, Jeffrey Brotman gave generously to progressive causes. I didn't think I would walk into one of their stores to find a copy of "The Obama Nation."

My wife and I took action, and turned every copy of the book over so nobody would see the cover. We did the same thing in a Border's store when Ann Coulter came out with her last book.

But I'm asking for an email campaign to try to get Costco to pull the book from it's shelves. Costco prides itself on providing it's members with quality goods at low prices. Corsi's book doesn't meet that standard.

My email to Sinegal and Brotman: ...

So it's come to this: the "progressives" are book-banners. Fascism with a smile.

Next, they should try book burning.

It's about their speed.

Though I don’t do business with Amazon, the best place to buy rightward books is Amazon so the sales figures get bumped and enrage the crazies.

I was at BJ's , went back 3 different times in 15 minutes to remove books that had "accidently" been placed on the wrong stacks to obscure Coursi's book, but also The Case Against BO.The tolerant left at work again.

Typical of the left. I’ve been saying for years that Liberals are indistinguishable from dysfunctional 7th grade girls. They act, think, and feel exactly like utter juveniles. They also have a genetic predisposition for criminal behavior.

And they wonder why the can’t be trusted with national security.

How do you hide books in a store that displays them by the pallet-load?

Yup.

The foaming at the mouth liberals that are vehemently against any censorship at all are a big fan of censorship.

Yes, it sure makes sense.

Juvenile tactics like this make me mad enough to buy 3 or 4 copies instead of the one I planned to buy. No store is going to avoid selling any book on the bestseller list no matter wht the topic is, Costco afterall IS in buisness to make money. DUH!

Oh, really? Sez you!

From Amazon.com regarding “Obama Nation”:

“Amazon.com Sales Rank: #1 in Books (See Bestsellers in Books)
Popular in these categories: (What’s this?)

#1 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > Ethnic & National
#1 in Books > Nonfiction > Politics
#1 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > Leaders & Notable People > Political”

No surprise here. Liberal socialist fascism is a reality in America.

Obamas people are fascists in the making.

The next thing will be burning of books, especially if Obama is elected.

This thread article shows us a peek of the face of hatred. And its only a peek. A lot of violence lies under here, (under we go to stores and turn the books over absolute certainty of moral superiority, everyone else is ignorant category, when we get desperate we will use fire) and we conservatives will have to fight it on our own neighborhood streets before it is over.

It's all happened before and the cycle is repeating:

Burning of Books, Fascist Germany, May 10, 1933, coming to a park near you, courtesy of the "Obama for President Campaign."

Sheesh. I see books on their side or neither side that turn my stomach and would never pull a stunt like that in a store, might even pick one or more up off the floor and put back in the right place or at least the nearest shelf like I sometimes do at the grocery store when stuff is lying in the aisles. Sometimes maybe a little kid did it and the mother is hassled trying to shop or who knows?

What is the matter with people? Never mind.
