Yuval Levin and Hugh Hewitt speculate that by responding to Jerome Corsi's book the Obama campaign is merely drawing more attention to the book's allegations. That may be true, but it appears that the Obama campaign has calculated that they will make a greater impact providing a sympathetic media with plausible talking points. The media narrative thus becomes "Corsi refuted" rather than "Obama embattled." The problem, as noted by Jim Geraghty and Hewitt, is that several of the purported refutations are themselves, at best, misdirections. One of the most easily verifiable is Obama's continued insistence that he voted against the Illinois Born Alive Act because it lacked an abortion neutrality clause. Remarkable.
Obama now has unequivocally repeated this falsehood several times. Is he that confident nobody in the mainstream media will call him on it? The axiom is that in politics the cover-up always does worse damage than the act itself. In this case that would be some feat.

Obambi shouldn’t have made the audio version of his books. It’s gonna be hard to call facts that are in your own words an ‘attack’!
The line should be drawn right here right now. When you illuminate A candidates own words and actions it is NOT an attack! No quarter given! The MSM that give cover will be challenged!

Target: make the major news media feel comfortable to NOT examine the allegations made. John Kerry was successful in this regard.
Obama’s “folks” are clever. The front ended their response with quotes from big name media clones who hadn’t read the book but parroted Obama claims of lies. The reader is left with the impression they had read the book and their comments.
I haven’t had this much fun watching a Democrat politician squirm since John Edwards babygate.
Oh! But wait, that was only last week.

Two weeks in a row.
The recently released Corsi book, Obama Nation, has a very damning section on Obama's demigoguing the issues we deem 'pro-life/anti-life'. Corsi highlights several points (pages 237 - 240):
1) On March 30, 2001 Obama was the ONLY Illinois senator who rose to speak against a bill that would protect babies who survive late-term abortion
2) In 1997 Obama voted in the Illinois Senate AGAINST a bill designed to prevent partial birth killing of alive, sensing unborn children
3) Obama has consistently voted to expand embryonic stem cell exploitation
4) Obama has consistently voted against requiring minors to notify their parents if they seek or obtain an out of state abortion
5) Obama is a zealous supporter of planned parenthood which operates the greatest percentage of their killing clinics in black and under privileged neighborhoods
6) Obama has told Planned Parenthood that if he is elected president he will prevent opponents of Roe v Wade from being appointed to the Supreme Court
7) Obama has consistently ignored the FACT of the great harm abortion has done to the African-American communities
This time around the media will follow the same path. They will accept the denials as fact and go on from there. The internet stories and the books themselves, counting the new release, will be preaching to the choir, and unlike the swift boats there will be no Ed O'Neill to assert the truth of the accusations because he was there.
The momentum has accumulated to such a level that the only way the Rodham rodent could ascend to the throne over the DNC now would be for Barry to suddenly meet a tragic end. I don’t think even the clintons can get past the SS now ... she will try to share limelight, but she is toast, thankfully.
