The "author," and I use the term loosely, whose vicious lies damaged John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign has crawled back out from under his rock to spew vicious lies about Barack Obama. Right-wing radio talk-show hosts are dutifully transmitting this concocted venom. This presidential campaign has officially gotten ugly.
The "author" I'm talking about is a man named Jerome Corsi. In a book published last year, "The Late Great USA: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada," Corsi claimed that George W. Bush was at the heart of a secret conspiracy to subsume the United States into a post-national, one-worldish North American Union. Corsi's writings on far-right blogs have been even more paranoid and delusional. He has written that pedophilia, for which he used a more graphic term, "is OK with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press." He has referred to Muslims as "ragheads."
Corsi would be known as just another visitor from the outer fringe if he had not been the co-author of "Unfit for Command," the book that slimed Kerry's exemplary record as a Swift boat commander in Vietnam. The allegations in that book were discredited, but not before they had been amplified by the right-wing echo chamber to the point where they raised questions in some voters' minds - perhaps enough to swing the election.
It was an abominable trick, but quite remarkable. Kerry's opponent, George W. Bush, had avoided Vietnam by taking refuge in the Texas Air National Guard. Kerry was a decorated war hero, yet somehow his valor and sense of duty were turned into a political negative and used against him.
Now Corsi, in what he acknowledges is an attempt "to keep Obama from getting elected,"

Kerry damaged his own campaign. Swift boaters just let the public know about his past.
Who, with a little more than 3 months in-country, begged the Navy to let him go home early.
Everybody else had to do 12 months, including those under his command.

This is in keeping with the leftist media’s MO of shooting the messenger when they don’t like the news. Just like the good totalitarians they are.
I bought two yesterday after reading the NYT ‘review’. Then I’m going to join a book club and study Obamanation with the audio tracks of BHO’s books. I hear that this emphasises the points in Corsi’s book in Obama’s own words.
Instead of answering the questions of substantive issues, they are attacking Jerome Corsi.
Corsi may not be of the highest integrity, I don’t know, but if the facts are documented, let the facts speak for themselves. You don’t see any books being written defaming G. W. Bush or John McCain do you? There has to be some material to work with.
BTW, Corsi was on “Fox and Friends” this morning. The far-left website, Daily KOS, has posted his address on their website. He has been getting death threats.
Eugene Robinson is black.
Therefore, any criticism of his article is racist.
Robinson is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and has received numerous journalism awards.

Statements that were never proven to be lies. John Kerry, was dishonorable discharged from the Navy, and had his discharge upgraded by that POS Carter.
Since Kerry never submitted a signed form 180 to release his entire service record, which is what was required to prove Corsi a liar, proves that the liar was Kerry. So too is this nincompoop a liar too.

When you stand with politicians and prevent this nation from securing its own sources of energy, and thus become energy-independent, I QUESTION YOUR PATRIOTISM !
When you publicly declare “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction” and say nothing about standing with our armed forces who are sacrificing themselves to defend our way of life, I DEFINITELY QUESTION YOUR PATRIOTISM !!!

No stranger to being submarined by attack ads and smear campaigns, Sen. John Kerry is set to launch an online effort that will work to protect Barack Obama from suffering the same fate.
On Wednesday, the Massachusetts Democrat’s political action committee will launch TruthFightsBack.com, a website that encourages voters to flag and counterattack smears when they see them.
The site, in its nascent stages, signals a recognition that character and political attacks — even the most outrageous — all contain an inherent capacity to go viral and cause electoral ripples. Already, the Obama campaign has launched a counter-smear site of its own, titled “Fight The Smears.”
Kerry’s effort will be slightly different. The Senator won’t print “the attack” directly alongside “the truth.” But he will, according to Kerry’s Internet Director Brian Young, put more emphasis on the attacker and allow the site’s directors to decided how best to combat the attack.
Much of the campaign is drawn from Kerry’s own experience in 2004 and the parallels he sees to the current campaign. As a media advisory notes: “From the hard negative turn of the McCain campaign to the return of fringe author and smear merchant Jerome Corsi, from the millions of dollars of attack ads promised by the rightwing group Freedom’s Watch to the emergence of many organizations focused on attacking Democrats in individual races, we’ve got our work cut out for us to make sure 2008 is not a replay of 2004.”
Nothing riles leftists more than being unable to silence their opponents.
I have been hearing things concerning this book, is it true that they are hiding it in book stores, any funny things happening? Would like to hear feedback. I live in uber-Liberal-New York, so you can imagine what stunts they are pulling. This is my question and I am only a houswife from New York: if the book contained slanderous lies, then why do they not pull Jerome Corsi into court and sue him for libel? I can only assume by their back-channel ways of taking Jerome Corsi down, that the book is telling the TRUTH!!!!!!/Just Asking - seoul62.........

Corsi also mentioned on F&F that he’s getting death threats and that KOS has posted his home address with a request to harrass him and his family. How can we help there?
