A top Russian general said Friday that Poland's agreement to accept a US missile defense battery exposes the country to attack, pointing out that Russian military doctrine permits the use of nuclear weapons in such a situation, the Interfax news agency reported. *** Interfax said he added, in clear reference to the agreement, that Russia's military doctrine sanctions the use of nuclear weapons "against the allies of countries having nuclear weapons if they in some way help them." Nogovitsyn said that would include elements of strategic deterrence systems, according to Interfax.

Yeah, they probably wouldn’t get too much resistance at least for a while pushing east.

Their doctrine is pretty much that they can attack anyone they wish with nuclear weapons. We are back in the cold war with these mad dogs.
Not to worry. Barack will take care of them.
Go back to watching the Olympics, everything's under control.

Has Barry Hussein uttered one word about the Russian aggression and saber rattling? Is the messiah saving his pearls of wisdom for a more opportune time?

Even though deep down I really want to find a way to criticise Russia over this, Im having a hard time justifying a reason to myself. You really can't appreciate the difference between defensive arms and offensive ones? ...or the differences in the intents of the respective countries?
Are you also one who thinks all killing is equally immoral, regardless of whether such killing is premeditated murder or self-defense?

Makes sense to me.
But with a little help, Israel can take care of Iran quickly.

...Russias missiles in Cuba were offensive nuclear missiles where Poland will have defensive missiles... Yeah, I missed that distinction entirely.
You weren't too far off. What the defensive missiles do is change the Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) balance. That's what has got the Russians so ticked off. Increasing our offensive missiles or reducing the effectiveness of their offensive missiles. The results are similar either way.

The Russian Bear has turned rabid again. And half of America wants to reincarnate Jimmy Carter in the person of Barak Obama. The world has gone insane.

The results are similar either way And for the record, before I'm attacked here, I believe we need a massive missile defensive system AGAINST Russia. (Screw this "against Iran" business.) I'm still angry that the Democrats have been trying to block this ever since Reagan. We have the technology and have proven it can work. Let's do it!

I am fed up with Russian and Cuban expectations that we do nothing against Cuba. We should move, and it must be now.
And give Ukraine NATO membership.

Hey top General Dumb@$$, that is exactly why Poland accepted the US missile defense system, because of the Rabid Russian Bear's barbaric behavior towards all freedom loving people.
Russian chose South Ossetia over the USA. Now General Dumb@$$, Russia is reaping the rewards she so unwisely sowed.

I just heard a radio talk show host jokingly taking about the new conspiracy theory.... He is saying that there are some left wing wackos now saying that this whole thing ( Russia attacking Georgia ) was planned by Dick Chenney so Obama won't win the election.
Not a joke, unfortunately. Some of the Russian media is saying that. IIRC, they're quoting a high-ranking Russian official.

We still have the B1-B’s, they were designed to carry a rotary nuclear clear missile launcher. We don’t arm them this way due to one of the SALT treaties. We still have a bunch of warheads if we need them and a bunch of different platforms to fire them from if needed.
