Will the West allow the barbaric Russian horde to invade Poland and other Eastern Europeans nations once again?

Again more chest beating on Freepers. President Bush wasn’t going to attack ANY Russian forces. Do you honestly think that Russian forces are going to standby and let U.S. forces attack their forces and not retaliate? All your bluff and bluster ‘Litter the road like from Kuwait back to Iraq’. Please get real! There wasn’t a hope in hell’s chance of any direct U.S./Russian conflict over Georgia.

George Bush, like his father before him, and Bill Clinton, are globalists.

They don’t serve America. They serve their multi-national corporate masters.

Taking out Saddam and the Taliban were essential. But becoming the Afghan and Iraqi police and nation builders were not. By bogging us down in an unending occupation of both countries, Bush has compromised our ability to deal with serious problems elsewhere. You are correct.

His continued failure to react to Mexican violations of our border is not an oversight - it is deliberate policy. His multi-national globalist masters want a one world government to allow them to maximize profits with minimal governmental interference and a North American union is a step in that direction.

His failure to do anything about the Red Chinese and their inferior products and the American money drain is not an oversight - its deliberate policy to maximize profits for the multi-nationals.

His failure to assess the reality of Putin’s character was based on his flawed world-view.

The man and his administration have been a failure.

We should be supporting real Democracies of freedom-loving people like the Baltic States, Poland, Ukraine, etc. Not trying to create a democracy in an Islamic hell-hole. You can’t make a purse of a sow’s ear, and GUARENTEED, as soon as we leave Iraq, it will decay into the endemic violance, bloodshed and insanity which characterizes all Islamic areas. But again, Bush has manoevered us into a position where we made a stand and if we back down, we will lose face. We have already lost significant face by our failure to have detected the Russian mobilization and movement into Georgia longe before it occurred. By our wrist-limped response to threats of nuclear force against Poland, threats against Ukrainian soverignty, and failure to react immediately and militarly to the invasion and rape of Georgia, we have encouraged futher aggression by Putin.

Eisenhower, Kennedy, and others would not have been so blind-sided or pusillanimous.

As I have said many times, the Bushes are catastrophes - every bit as bad as Clinton. Those of us on the Right who were leery of this man when he was first nominated were correct in our original assessment.

The sad thing is we are AGAIN faced with a Bush - Kerry or Bush - Algore choice with McCain and Obama. We are forced to support a POOR candidate to keep and even WORSE one from Office.

Our political system is not working.

The Poles already had nuclear weapons albeit under Russian control. Polish Air Force Su-7 Fitters were assigned dual-key tactical nuclear weapons. In the west the like of Netherlands, Belgium, West Germany, Italy etc had the same set up with U.S. tactical nukes.

Obama strikes me as the type of person who would “stab Poland in the back” so as not to offend the Russian government.

Attacking Poland would be an attack on NATO, I highly doubt that will happen, the most likely target would be Ukriane, which, like Georgia is not a member of the alliance. Then again, Ukraine has a much more powerful military than the Georgians, especially air power, the Russians would have a very serious conventional struggle on their hands.

Looks like Russians dream of yet another Katyn.

Click above to see the fragments of the movie Katyn by A.Wajda. It speaks louder than million words.

"He has a choice now to save face and claim "victory" and "protection of autonomous areas", or be eventually kicked out. He had his "show of force" and I am not irrelevant" moment, mow he should take what is offered to him as the best he can ever get and be happy, if he can, because he precipitated his neighbors and even his appeasers and public defenders anxieties and corresponding turn to the "arms" (double-entendre here) of the West, specifically US."

Either this, or face an insurrection that will make Chechnya look like a Baptist church picnic.

Well you are intent on changing the basis of the discussion which is fine, noted.

Georgia’s sovereignty needs to be respected and Europe and the US need to add a price for this transgression.

Again, it’s far bigger than Georgia. You can continue to argue that it’s about separatist areas of Georgia and you will find yourself very lonely outside of the Russian nationalists who dream of empire.

“Presumably the issue with the missile shield is it makes the russian nuclear deterrent less effective.”

That’s their concern. Reagan partially contributed to the downfall of the Soviet empire by using the same strategy with building up our defenses and putting research into the Strategic Defense Initiative.

Besides it is a weak argument in that MAD Mutual Assured Destruction still exists in a catastrophic mass launching. The real Russian point is that they can’t stand the fact that we are taking part of their ability to be aggressive away. They would stand no chance against all of the Nato and the West in a conventional war.

Their audacity at another country attempting to add to its defensive capability speaks volumes.

Katyn is one of those things you hate to look at, but must, in order to not forget.

Thanks. God Bless and keep Poland free.

And, is it fair to surmise that you aren’t including yourself, or one of your children within “we”?

Same argument the leftists make against supporters of the Iraq war.

Did you support that engagement? If so, how long did you and your children serve?

If you’re going to play the “I served, you can’t question my patriotism” card, you have to pay a rights-fee to John Kerry.

Please make your check or money order payable to:

Senator John F. Kerry
One Bowdoin Square
10th Floor
Boston, MA 02114

Thank you.

Well then.. you’ve been in the wrong place for a long time.

When your terrorist buddies want to start bombing and terrorizing inside the US again and bring their war here then I’ll gladly pick up a gun!!

And yes I have a 1st Cousin in the navy.

He’s going to war so kooks like you have the opportunity to freely run your mouths about being anti-war.

When I say “let’s teach them a lesson” or anything of the like, I keep in mind that one day there might be a draft and when that day comes I will go, unlike somone like you who will run to Canada!!
