Are you a concerned liberal living in fear that you are destroying the planet via global warming? Good news! There is now a solution from Australia. Eat kangaroos. I kid you not. This is the latest in the ever growing list of "scientific" solutions to counter supposed global warming as reported by Keith Johnson in his Wall Street Journal blog, Environmental Capital:

I have recipes, and hints on field dressing, and parting out into primals.
Not a predator, but good eats, anyway.

‘Roo must be cooked at least medium well, otherwise it will hop off your plate.

Why don't we grind up all the liberals into kangaroo food so we don't have to hear another word about this global warming garbage.

Chicken tastes like chicken. Gator tastes like gator. Roo tastes like roo. Lesbian frogs taste like chicken.

Anything punched with a round moving at 1/15th orbital speed doesn't hop anywhere. Ever again.

Roo is in the supermarkets here. I don't like it very much. It is very lean dark meat without any fat, so supposedly it is more healthy than beef or lamb.
It can have a pretty strong taste, if anything, it reminds me of venison (but even, not that good).
I think it will be a very long time before Aussie switch from eating roos versus lamb or beef.

Grind through a 3/8 inch plate, season with Texas chili powder, and add some fatback and pinto beans, and you have a meal, along with some buttermilk cornbread.
Mmmmm. Dead jumpy stuff.

I had ‘roo meat once, back when I lived in Exmouth ... I didn’t ask for a second helping, just like I never ate Vegamite a second time. The fresh caught seafood and crays were more to my liking!

Have kangaroo meat producers managed to come up with a name for it, like “pork” for pig or “beef” for cow? I remember reading about an effort to do so.
