I am going to do some of my errands and some for my friend, go visit her and then probably work for a few hours.

Must be confusing me with someone else. I haven't bought a digital camera in about 5 years. Got one at Costco and my wife had me thinking about taking it back ... and suddenly I got a check for about 6 months worth of coverages and extra classes I'd been teaching. So I kept it. I'm happy with. Some of its drawbacks are the fault of the user, to be sure, but why have 3 megapixels when you can have 6 or 7?
I'll probably hold off for a while before I splurge. Or it'll go on the Birthday/Christmas wish list.
