Barack Obama gets advice from new 'friend' George Clooney (including policy advice)
UK Telegraph ^ | Aug. 11, 2008 | Kerry Grove

George Clooney has become one of Barack Obama's most high-profile backers, calling him several times a week to offer advice on body language, presentation and policy.

Hollywood star Clooney, 47, struck up a close relationship with Mr Obama and is now in regular contact by phone, text and email, according to reports.

Democratic sources claim the Oscar-winner has been sharing his views on policy, urging Mr Obama to take a more "balanced" stance on US relations with Israel.

But one Democratic insider claims their relationship could be "very risky" for Mr Obama's election chances.

"George is pro-Palestinian. And he is also urging Barack to withdraw unconditionally from Iraq if he wins," the source told the Mail on Sunday.

I read in the Hollywood Reporter months back that this asshat’s last 5 movies have bombed at the box office (especially Leatherheads), yet it is still unexplainable why he’s a celebrity.

So this is what it comes down to: getting advice from an airhead actor, who’s anti US, anti Israel and who backed the last 2 presidential losers from the Dems. And Barry is wondering how his lead has shrunk to a dead heat with a RINO geezer.

Sounds like Looney Clooney is one of Obambi's 600 foreign policy advisors.

Another article with more info — I hope voters are finally starting to find out who Obama really is: a far out leftist, anti-American and terrorist sympathizer. Just look at all his friends. Obama taking advice on the Middle East from Clooney?! — he is toast, no wonder they wanted to hide it.

George Clooney coaches great mate Barack Obama

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,24157261-2,00.html

GEORGE Clooney once declared he could never run for public office because he’d “slept with too many women, done too many drugs and been to too many parties”.

But now the Hollywood heart-throb has entered the political arena - by becoming an unofficial adviser to US presidential front-runner Barack Obama.

Oscar-winner Clooney is said to be helping the Democratic candidate polish his image, but is also sharing his strong opinions on Iraq and the Middle East.

Sources say the star has tried to hide the friendship for fear his left-wing views and playboy image would hurt Senator Obama’s White House bid.

But Democratic Party insiders have revealed Clooney and Obama regularly send texts and emails to each other and speak by phone at least twice a week.

One described the pair’s “amazing affinity”, saying: “They are extremely close.

“George has been giving him advice on things such as presentation, public speaking and body language. He also emails him constantly about policy, especially the Middle East.”

But I bet Obama doesn’t had as much contact with his other 599 policy advisors as he does with Clooney. They seem inseparable:

Yes, those 2 deserve each other. Obama might as well have Cindy Sheehan as her military advisor.

I'm no fan of B Hussein Obama, but I can't believe that he is so stupid as to give any weight to political advice from George Clooney.

He’s a good actor and at least Michael Clayton was a good film but, politically, you’re quite right, he’s an airhead.

I wonder if these people are simply too stupid, or just plain arrogant, to realise how much their image can be compromised by their political rantings. Discovering his views has certainly turned me off him. Surrender and moral equivalence. Just what we need!

Actually he IS that stupid, remember he AGREES with Clooney’s advice — both Obama and Clooney are pro-terrorist, anti-Israel and anti-US. Otherwise Obama, busy as he is with his campaign, wouldn’t personally spend time to exchage e-mails, and talk on the phone twice a week with Clooney.

Yes, I loved "Brother, Where Art Thou". It's sad and a little incomprehensible that the actor who made that movie turns out to be a liberal airhead. I'm to understand the Charles Bronson is also very liberal, though I'd never guess it from his movie persona.

Must be the air in Hollywood.

Let me guess... George Clooney is telling Obama that if he robs the Bellagio, every family making under $30,000 can get a $500 rebate...

LOL. Can you imagine being so vacuous that you need help from George Clooney, not to mention those hundreds of others.

If you need advice from hundreds of people, either you're a complete moron or they are. Neither impresses considering the job for which he's running.
