They are being deployed as a threat against Isreal, in case of an Isreali strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. This game has many more facets then our vaunted 70 IQ news media is capable of understanding.

The Russian’s will take Georgia, if there is no legitimate action from the West. Following that they will incorporate Azerbaijan, by force, if necessary. This will then leave Iran and Russia with mutual borders and will leave the West with no viable wedge between the two.

The defense pact signed by Russia and Iran in 2006 and the sale of $1bn in missiles by Russia to the Iranians was the first step in bridging an Russo-Persian alliance that could legitimately threaten the West by cutting off the Middle East oil supply and make it stick.

Rather than make silly little quips, people need to pull their heads out and realize what is going on and the long term ramifications for the economy and our day to day lives.

Not sure about that one. There are a number Azerbaijanis in Moscow who would make things go boom.

Some say GOG....MAGOG. Our unheard of weapons would be a shock to Iran. Russia may not move on that.

I agree that there’s more here than meets the eye. We need to front a bold, in-your-face response. No arguing, no posturing, just actions.

120 km (about 72 miles) range isn't going to reach Israel. Wouldn't even reach northern Iraq.

Stop reading hype. It is a short range battlefield ballistic missile. A tiny tiny missile. It can't reach Israel from Georgia. Take a look at what the Iraqi's were firing at Kuwait and Coalition forces back in 2003. The Al Samoud is a short-range ballistic missile as is the Al Smoud. U.S. troop inspecting Al Samoud in Iraq.

We need to think BIG here. Russiia then controls all the Western economies of S. Korea,Japan, USA, Canada, all of which are oil energy dependent.

Russia still means to rule the world, and in doing so will create a World Caliphate in aid.

This is what we really need to worry about.
