They are being deployed as a threat against Isreal, in case of an Isreali strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities

120 km (about 72 miles) range isn't going to reach Israel. Wouldn't even reach northern Iraq.

If this really lights up, the SS-21's could be used to hit the Georgian army if they are entrenched on the other side of the Southern Caucasus range. The missiles could also be used to intimidate the Azerbaijan's. Can also intimidate the Armenians if they balk at being used as a Russian Armor refueling stop.

Yes, I noticed that after I made the post & then went to verify the actual missile capabilities. It is now clear to me that they were using this as a threat to Tiblisi.

Though we should keep in mind that the Russians have had a hand in the development of the Shahab-3 which can defintely reach Isreal from almost anywhere in Iran.

We have not heard the end of Putin’s deep seated desire to return Russia to superpower status. Being in a position to cripple the oil flow to the West would be a quick path to the end. Especially since the Party of surrender now controls the Congress and may well soon hold the White house.
