How to blow it
The Guardian [UK] ^ | 8/9/2008 | Michael Moore, Incompetent Gasbag

Posted on 08/10/2008 3:48:03 AM PDT by Santiago de la Vega

"Let's snatch defeat from the jaws of victory." "We never met an election we'd like to win." "Why get elected when you can be defeated!" These have been the mantras of the Democratic Party. Beginning with their stunning inability to defeat the most detested politician in American history, Richard Nixon, and continuing through their stunning inability to defeat the most detested politician in the world, George II, the Democrats are the masters of blowing it.

Second most detested. Nixon was bad, but compared to the Hillbilly Jerkoff, he was a saint.

After eight years of Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office, the public had seen enough.

I know. I was getting sick of all that low tax, roaring economy, prosperity stuff. It really sucked, unlike the Carter years.

Some people, myself included, see that Farenheit 911 contributed to Kerry's lost. When people saw what kind of persons that Democrats put in their VIP area during the convention, they had to think twice to vote for Kerry. The fact that Cannes gave the propaganda movie a Palme d'Or didn't help Kerry.

The fat douchbag is simply expressing what many dems are thinking (and worrying about privately) and that is "buyers remorse."

Remember when the libtards (and their willing sycophant media pals) were so ecstatic over the prospects of John "The Snake" Kerry being their nominee?

Sadly after the fact, they soon realize that his war status "hero" act, would not overcome his far left, moonbat, socialist, proposals (as well as his obvious ignorant and superior attitude) were not being embraced by the majority.

Same thing is now happening with their presumptive nominee, The Chosen One (e.g. Barack--"Peace Be Upon His Middle No Name"--Obama) and they are running scared.

They realize that the media cannot keep cleaning up after him indefinitely and sooner or later, he will have to come out from under his careful tutelage and handling and away from prepared speeches and reading the teleprompter. And when he does, its Katy bar the door!!

Gots to luv the libtards in their rush to nominate what they believe will be a "sure thing" only to begin having doubts and worries soon thereafter. Tee hee.

Of course, on the other side of the equation, as long as we have absolute F'n idiots like the 5 Republi-tards (Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; Johnny Isakson, R-Ga.; Bob Corker, R-Tenn ans Saxby Chandliss R-Ga)who are part of the Gang of Ten, who are hell bent on taking away the one issue which was finally mobilizing and energizing conservatives (DRILLING) we don't have anything to rejoice about yet.

Why they are cutting McLame off at the knees and giving cover to the DemoRats is beyond frustrating and enough to drive a person to adult beverages.

ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING AND THE DHUMMIES WOULD HAVE HAD TO RE-INTRODUCE LEGISLATION TO PROHIBIT DRILLING WHEN IT EXPIRED AND THAT WOULD HAVE GONE OVER WITH THE PUBLIC LIKE A LEAD BALLOON.

PLEASE CONTACT THESE MOONBATS AND EXPRESS YOUR DISPLEASURE WITH THEIR ATTEMPTS TO "GO ALONG AND GIT ALONG" WITH THE ENEMY AND CAPITULATE WITHOUT A FIGHT!!

With this gang of 10 thing, McCain is reaping what he’s sown over the years. I have zero sympathy for him, he’s a backstabbing old crank.

Michael Moore, douchebag extraordinaire, isn’t the only one who’ll have buyer’s remorse before this is all over.

"They are so pathetic in their ability to win elections, they even lose when they win! Al Gore won the 2000 election, but for some strange reason he didn't become the president of the United States."

How long are they going to try and keep up with this lie? There has NEVER been any scenario where Gore had more votes in FL. The media tried when they did a recount after the fact, but they actually found Bush won by more votes.

I hope Michael Moore keeps convincing himself Americans love the Democratic Party and the problem is they haven't heard the message about how caring its been. The Left has shouted that to no avail for decades. I hope they keep it up!

He won the popular vote but he didn't win the election, George Bush won the election and Gore tried to steal it by recounting until he got a number he liked at which time the recounts would have stopped. Study the constitution, Electoral college wins the election not popular vote.

However, the Democrats pull so much election fraud every year it is even doubtful they actually won the popular vote except for the dead people and illegal aliens voting.

RE: Michael Moore convincing himself Americans love the Democratic Party.

Moore, in the article: For years now, nearly every poll has shown that the American people are right in sync with the platform of the Democratic Party. They are pro-environment, pro-women's rights, pro-choice, they don't like war, they want the minimum wage raised, and they want a single-payer universal healthcare system. The American public agrees with the Republican Party on only one major issue: they support the death penalty.

Rob Reiner, Archie Bunker's meatheaded son-in-law from way back when, predicts a great deal of interaction between the Obama and Hollywood, like the days of the Clinton presidency.

"You’d have the same thing, absolutely. There’d be the same kind of love and respect, but I think you’d have it even bigger. With someone like Obama, I think the whole country, the whole world will coalesce. Every election is about change, and change takes a long time because there are big issues that can’t be changed overnight. But the one thing that will change dramatically is how we’re viewed around the world. Once Obama is in there, the world will view us in an entirely different light. And that, to me, is a good thing."

So, to Moore, Americans are basically Northeastern, academic liberals but don't know it (or vote it) and to Reiner, beauty-queen Obama equals Clinton/Hollywood "love and respect", and world peace?

Mikey Moore must be pretty frustrated with the Dems. With regard to “what the American people think” his article doesn’t cite facts, but Dem talking points, which is exactly why he finds himself in this pickle. Lord help us if the ol boy explodes. It could be messy.

My experience is that Democrats have been “getting it wrong” for the last forty years. I’m talking about the government programs they espouse, not their election tactics.
