There will not be another actor like him.

Politics aside, he was a gentleman and a class act.

Prayers for Paul Newman and his family.

but the first three I remember was....and Zero (9-8-77).

Zero is dead?!? Until he came along, we counted on our fingers and toes.

j/k Zero Mostel was great, especially in the original "The Producers"

sorry. there’s been so little written about his diagnosis. Any cancer is a lousy way to go.

I too was never a fan of his politics, but always thought of him as a stand-up sort of person. He never seemed to be so ‘in your face’ with his politics, and never seemed to me to be hypocritical about what he believed. Strangely enough, one of my favorite movies of his was Nobody’s Fool. Didn’t get a whole lot of attention that I remember, but I really liked the movie.

A talented actor and generous-hearted man. I’m sorry to see him leave this stage.

The problem I had with “The Verdict” was that the big revelation that the ending turned on was based on a question I was asking ten minutes into the movie, but it took Newman’s character the whole movie to think to ask it. And I’m not a lawyer.

Paul N. was good from the get go - one of his first movies, if not the first, was the lead in “Silver Chalice” (He played an artist charged with creating a silver chalice for the cup of the Last Supper - still a good movie)

He is 83 and has lived his life the way he wanted to.

I hope he is at peace.

We’ve been using his Light Lime Vinaigrette as a marinade (mostly for fish) and it’s quite excellent.

Try “The Verdict” (1982). Brilliant performance as a down-on-his-luck lawyer who recovers his mojo and moral center.

You’re smarter than me! I loved that movie. Classic screenplay by David Mamet.

Yes, Absence of Malice was a great film...

"You had a leak? You call what's goin' on around here a leak? Boy, the last time there was a leak like this, Noah built hisself a boat."

One of the best lines from the movie. Wilford Brimley almost stole the show.

Comedian Bernie Mac died early this morning.

i am so sad... i knew he was sick, but the last i heard, earlier in the week, was he was doing okay... i am so sad... he was so young... i was more concerned about Morgan Freeman... gosh... i probably watched about 20 minutes worth of the Bernie Mac show and yet, i find myself crying right now...
