TBILISI, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Russian jets bombed the Vaziani military airbase outside the Georgian capital Tbilisi on Friday, a senior Georgian security official told Reuters.
"No one was wounded but some buildings have been destroyed," said Kakha Lamaia. The airbase is some 25 kilometres (15 miles) from Tbilisi.
"They have declared war against us," said Lamaia.

Yes, the Chinese condoned Russia’s actions. A pretext for justifying a Chinese invasion of Taiwan IMHO.

Georgia needs to strike swiftly and make it hurt, for a possible Russian withdrawal. Let’s hope Russia doesn’t have the will to sacrifice for this conquest, although Russia has never been one to lose composure at the sight of blood. Azerbaijan and Armenia had better pay close attention.

I feel exactly as you do. Evil forces are pushing the Georgian military into this horrible agression. And I do not trust Shakashvili.
Shakashvili is a thug....He stomps on opposition, arresting political rivals or arranging their murder.

Message to the Islamic parastate of Turkey and all who support this bloodthirsty genocidal rogue state:
If there is no justice... no reparations to its victims... no acknowlegement of genocide...and it continues its meddling in the balkans...oil pipelines on fire will be heaven compared to what is to come.

Putin couldn’t untangle his own web of subterfuge, so he punted. And whenever he punts, people start accidentally dying, whether by poisoning, bombs, or an anonymous assassin’s bullet. If the US isn’t going to confront him, they’ll put the UN in charge and Putin will get what he wants.

According to The Military Times ( Online publication) that training operation ended on July 31. Our marines should have exited Georgia by now. There were about 1000 US marines involved in training Georgian forces.

Russia has a strategic interest in controlling its borders... 10% of Georgia is Muslim. Georgia has a strategic interest in controlling its borders. Russia has over twenty million muslim citizens, many of whom are in the Red Army. Russia is even sending muslim Chechen "ex-rebels" into Georgia to wage jihad against the Christian nation of Georgia.

The Georgian opposition is even more anti-Russian than the current government. The Georgian people are completely united in the face of the evil Russian aggression against them. Russia is sending muslim Chechen “ex-rebels” into Georgia to kill Orthodox Christians. The genocidal Chekists in the Kremlin want to finish the job they started in the early nineties when they supported Shamil Basayev’s jihad against Christian Georgia.

Gotta have control... and with the West's approval, Russia is taking care of the Georgia problem. Everyone wins. Except the Georgians.
To prevent another Crete or Serbia or Yugoslavia.
The West wants Georgia like the West wants Turkey... but less.
Russia, America, India, Europe, China.... we are already allied to solve the worlds “problems”

Basayev led an “Abkhaz Battalion” in Georgia in the nineties with Russian support, and murdered thousands of Christians, ethnically cleansing hundreds of thousand more. They played football with the severed heads of Georgian Christians. That's what you support, dhimmi! You support muslims massacring Christians! I haven't made anything up. You are the one making things up, like saying that Georgians don't support their president. He was just reelected, unlike your false god Putin, who refuses to relinquish power even after leaving office!
