you might want to give your mom or other loved ones a call and tell them that you love them ;) Then again, maybe you want to take out a $500,000 loan and go freakin' nuts in Vegas.

Yeah, they’re going to make a black hole and swallow the world...that’s EXACTLY what’s going to happen.
Oh wait...no we live in a little something called reality. Any black hole they do create will dissipate almost instantly.

I guess this is what causes stars to go nova, the silly little inhabited planets that orbit them get uppity playing God and KABOOM.
I’ll mail my mortgage payment anyway and hold off on the bank-breaking party - for now.

Interesting. This may get me out of doing yard work. Do you have a link to the article? The links above go to the SCITECH main page and a headline about some sort of ipod add-on.

My sons and I discussed this the other evening.
If the Collider does create a black hole that engulfs us all, will it be instantaneous, or will we have time enough to realize what's happening? After much discussion, we decided we'd have a few seconds (in North America) to know what had happened.
The story reminds me that Enrico Fermi, just prior to the Trinity test in 1945, took bets with his fellow scientists on whether the first atomic explosion would set the atmosphere on fire. I wonder what the odds on the black hole are? :)

No big deal - the universe is destroyed and recreated every moment. It all depends on which leg of the Trousers of Time you’re going through.
