The Obama campaign exercises editorial control over this site. The staff admittedly threw Al Jefferson's blog under the bus, but probably only because Aaron Klein quoted this in World Net Daily (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=71574).
the only way to free america By Al from Tucson, AZ - Aug 4th, 2008 at 1:53 pm EDT Comments | Mail to a Friend | Report Objectionable Contentis to shed ourselves from the racist zionists in america. they control everything. but they won't keep us down any longer. throw the jews in the oven this november. its the only way we can free america and make sure barack obama is elected!
This is far from the only entry at my.barackobama.com that talks about Jews with divided loyalties, the Jewish lobby, the Israel lobby (a term sanctioned by the official campaign staff), Jewish control of various things, and also a reference to Hillary Clinton's African-American supporters as "house negroes" ("negroes" is not exactly the word they used).
Figures. Demonazis. Between the murderous cries of his base and the ravings of his “pastor”, please no one tell me that it doesn’t represent Hussein Obama. He is evil.
Part of the Left wing fringe includes Paly/terrorist supporters who are anti-Israel, anti-semitic and anti-Zionist. It goes with the territory of the group of nutjobs who support a socialst/communist empty suit.
No real surprise here.
Looks to me like a response post on the Obama blog, not an official statement. Just some more hatemongering from the Libs who preach tolerance.
oh this will only skyrocket if Cantor is picked for VP
Gimme a break.
how about;
Obamanuts
Sounds like something Jesse Jackson wants.
This looks like the post of someone who doesn't like Obama, and wanted to see how long his team would leave the post up.
The fact that his team may have, and in this instance probably did, leave the post up too long is problematic in and of itself. I am not convinced this is the post of someone who supports Obama or actually wants Jews thrown in ovens.
There's always an outside possibility I'm wrong. That's just my take on it.
Are we really convinced that Obama wants to destroy Israel? Are we convinced he wants to see Jews thrown in ovens?
I am troubled by his support for a Palestinian state. I don't support that in any way shape or form, until the Palestinians have proven they will cooperate with Israel like a reasoned neighbor, and live in peace beside it.
I consider this to be an anti-Israeli stance. That being said, Israel's leadership seems to be just about as ignorant as Obama on the prospect for peace agreements between Israel and the Palestinians though. Olmert is a fool IMO.
My view is that Obama doesn't see a Palestinian nation as an anti-Israeli move. He's one of these pie in the sky airheads who thinks a cumbaya moment will usher in a thousand years of peace. He has good company in our nation with that notion. Some of our most trusted leaders share that view.
Any issues I had with the Jews/Israelis went away on 911 when I saw the thousands of PaliRats dancing in the streets. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

This one admittedly went under the bus more quickly than the others I have seen, but it is quite likely that Obama’s staff saw it at WorldNetDaily. Other material about the “Jewish Lobby” remained online for more than half a year.
If this were the only example of hate speech, or even one of but a few, I would be inclined to agree that these are just trolls and agents provacateur. The problem is that there are dozens or even more of these at my.barackobama.com.
Just for argument’s sake, would you honestly think a man who wanted to be President would approve of leaving this stuff up for the public to view? It might appeal to some people, but it would alienate far more.
If you told me his organization was so poorly run that there wasn’t an adequate enough crew to police this stuff, I’d agree. In fact I think that would be a very negative thing to have aired in public, the fact that his organization was so inept.
As I said, you folks may be on to something that sails right over my head, but I don’t buy into the idea he wants to see Jews rounded up and destroyed.
That being said, you couldn’t have caught me sitting in that pew listening to Wright for decades.
There are plenty of trolls and agents provocateurs in the world. Personally, I'm getting tired of seeing their stupid posts copied over to FR. For all I know, you posted this garbage there yourself, just so you could re-post it on FR and claim it tells us something about Obama. Assuming you didn't, you're certainly doing exactly what the authors of the garbage want people to do with it.
Well, there is a very good chance that you are absolutely 100% on target with your conclusion. And as you state, assuming he didn’t, you’ve expressed what my thoughts on it are.
McCain being unsellable, we are going over the line to destroy Obama. None of us are going to vote for the man. Zero, zip, nada... If I’ve seen more than five people here over the last six months who have said they may vote for him, I’d be surprised. When I have seen it, I have encouraged them not to.
To me it seems like we are verging on becoming the reverse of DailyKOS, DU, and Moveon.org. Frankly... no thanks. Counter them? Hell yes. Adopt their tactics? Hell no.
Wow, GS! Good post!
Re: “For all I know, you posted this garbage there yourself, just so you could re-post it on FR and claim it tells us something about Obama. Assuming you didn’t, you’re certainly doing exactly what the authors of the garbage want people to do with it.”
I did not post this material at MyBO but, assuming I did (and this is the kind of accusation that could have come from Obama’s camp or MoveOn.org, which used the same excuse in 2006), Obama’s moderators could have removed it on the spot. They certainly proved themselves capable of removing quotes from “Dreams From My Father” and Michelle Obama’s thesis—with specific page numbers as opposed to the urban legends—within 36 hours, and disabling the account from which it was posted. On the other hand, stuff about “Zionist Thought Police” was left online for months. This should tell you where MyBO’s moderators’ priorities lie.
FR’s moderators were quite capable of locking threads, deleting comments, and threatening to hand out suspensions when people made inappropriate remarks about Ted Kennedy’s illness, and they did so on an almost real time basis. That is because FR is NOT MoveOn.org, Kos, or My.BarackObama.com. As far as I know, FR’s moderators don’t even get paid. Obama has paid staff members to keep agents provacateur—if that is what they really are—off his site.
Your argument could easily be turned around. How do we know that Obama’s staff members didn’t post some of this stuff—not the anti-Semitic hate speech, which reflects badly on his campaign, but the rumors about McCain having a neurodegenerative disease—to encourage its widespread circulation? Obama could deny that he approved it while blaming it on trolls, agents provacateur, and so on while reaping its benefits.
Re: “To me it seems like we are verging on becoming the reverse of DailyKOS, DU, and Moveon.org. Frankly... no thanks. Counter them? Hell yes. Adopt their tactics? Hell no.”
FR does not sponsor or sanction hate speech against racial, religious, or ethnic groups, nor does it tolerate inappropriate remarks about serious illnesses—all of which Kos, MyBO, and/or MoveOn.org have. Bill O’Reilly reports that the Daily Kos tolerated a celebration of Tony Snow’s death at its Web site. MyBO included a post to the effect that Alzheimer’s Disease is “funny” while falsely attributing this illness to a political opponent.
