Hillary Clinton will not win the nomination and it is totally delusional to think otherwise. It is Rush Limbaugh dream that she get the nomination because he thinks she can beat the man who hates most, John McCain. However none of this is going to happen and John McCain is going to be elected President. The nomination of John McCain proves that Rush Limbaugh greatly overrates his influence in the Republican Party. Rush Limbaugh only preaches to the choir and the choir adores him.

It is true that Rush does not like McCain, or trust him. He is not alone in that feeling. But I do not believe that Rush “hates” McCain. Rush does give praise to McCAin when McCain shows more conservative actions. He praised McCain just a while ago for his strong statement against Obama.

As far as you thinking Rush WANTS Hillary to win the nomination, I believe Rush would if he thought that Obama has a good chance of beating McCain. I still believe Rush wants McCain to win in November as he has said so.

I love you jveritas, but please allow me to show you why your concern about Rush Limbaugh is so badly misplaced.

As you said, "The nomination of John McCain proves that Rush Limbaugh greatly overrates his influence in the Republican Party."

If this is true, and I will grant that it may be, how can you believe that Rush Limbaugh DOES have enough influence with the general electorate to affect John McCain?

Not enough influence in the Republican Party to stop John McCain in the primary, but enough influence with the general electorate to prevent John McCain from winning in the general election?

It is so illogical, it can't be taken seriously. Only a passion induced by fear and misunderstanding could produce such twisted logic.

I am also fearful of the consequences of a Democrat taking the White House in 2009. But I have no irrational misconception about whose fault it will be.
