AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, Doctor of Democracy, and Chief of the Patriotism Police. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Hillary Clinton will not win the nomination and it is totally delusional to think otherwise. It is Rush Limbaugh dream that she get the nomination because he thinks she can beat the man who hates most, John McCain. However none of this is going to happen and John McCain is going to be elected President. The nomination of John McCain proves that Rush Limbaugh greatly overrates his influence in the Republican Party. Rush Limbaugh only preaches to the choir and the choir adores him.

My favorite line from yesterday’s show:

“WE CAN’T CAFE STANDARD OUR WAY OUT OF THIS.” - Rush Limbaugh

This is a GREAT point to throw back at those idiots who keep wanting to regurgitate the lame “And we won’t see a drop for 7 to 10 years.” Well, with CAFE standard changes, it will also take ABOUT 7 to 10 YEARS! It takes on average 7 to 10 years for the country’s fleet of cars to change over to new standards, so if policy was put in place today, we wouldn’t see all of the savings for 7 to to YEARS!

I think the management for a lot of teams always thinks they’ve spent enough to have a shot at the playoffs. Reality kicks in about midseason.

Good Point: I don't see many under inflated tires on the road and I drive alot every day. Obama should be embarrassed about even trying to peddle that as an energy policy. There's just not of an issue there to have any impact on our oil use.

Maye he did but wanted to criticize him twice. Once for what he said today and again when Obama comes out and clarifies his position.

If Obama stays true to form, he will shortly come out and say that "under inflated tires are better than over inflated".

I am wondering if Obama ever considered how many people he is going to kill with tire blowouts? There are idiots that will believe him.

It is true that Rush does not like McCain, or trust him. He is not alone in that feeling. But I do not believe that Rush “hates” McCain. Rush does give praise to McCAin when McCain shows more conservative actions. He praised McCain just a while ago for his strong statement against Obama.

As far as you thinking Rush WANTS Hillary to win the nomination, I believe Rush would if he thought that Obama has a good chance of beating McCain. I still believe Rush wants McCain to win in November as he has said so.

Seen a small car today, that was on the tiny spare, and it was flat too, would have never noticed except it was making a lot of noise as it traveled. How ‘bout a government subsidy for new tires?

I do not share your belief that McCain would have a harder time beating Hillary.

It does not matter whether it is Obama or Clinton - or even Kucinich.

The only factors that matter are:

1) the approval rating of the incumbent president,

2) the economy’s economic growth rate, and

3) whether the president’s party has controlled the White House for two terms.

In other words, even the identity of the Republican candidate is almost irrelevant. John McCain might as well be John Republican.

The best (maybe only) chance McCain has is if George W. Bush’s approval rating and the economy improves.

The vast majority of the voters who will decide this election are not paying that much attention to all these details.

The most common thought process is this simple:

“I am worried about making a living. Naturally, I blame the guy at the top (because I really don’t know how it works). That guy’s party has been at the top for two terms and we generally don’t approve of what he is doing. I will vote for the guy from the other party.”

It really is that simple for most voters.
