A man arrested in a Tri-Cities traffic stop is on the F.B.Is terror watch list, according to court documents filed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
27 year old Abdul H. Khan of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was pulled over on Highway 19E north of Elizabethton by Tennessee Highway Patrolman M.D. Musick.
According to a court affidavit filed by Musick, Khan was going 77 m.p.h in a 55 m.p.h. zone, was driving on a revoked license, and was in possession of a stolen credit card.
I checked Mr. Khans drivers license status through the NCIC computer and his privilege to drive was suspended in New Mexico on April 19,2008 and he was on the FBIs terrorist watch list. He was therefore placed under arrest and transported to the Carter Co. jail
According to jail records, five hours after Khan was arrested, he made bond from the Carter County Jail.
The T.H.P. referred our questions about this case to the F.B.I. An F.B.I. spokesman said the Bureau doesnt comment on investigations.
Khan has a court date set for October 7th
Any bets on him showing up?
Khan has a court date set for October 7th.................sure he does..............
North of Elizabethton on 19E....was he eating Barbeque at Ridgewood?
On second thought, was he sabotaging the best pork BBQ in the world?
It boggles the mind!
Hahaha!
Couple of my co-workers had their weekly Ridgewood today. I better check and see they are OK.
But, is this nuts? Mutt far from home base does a crime, turns up on the bad boy list and walks in five hours?
What is the list’s purpose, anyhow?
WHO IS THE JUDGE WHO RELEASED HIM??
I was just getting ready to ping you bert.
Hmmm. Wonder what this fella is doing in the Tri Cities?
I’d appreciate any pings to any updates on this story.
KHAN!!!.......
Bookmarked for later dining.
BTTT.
Sure would like to know who this man is, and why he is on a terror watch list.
Can you all ping any freepers who might know?
This judge may get the Wrath of Khan from locals for releasing this guy that was on the watch list
(Man Arrested in Carter County (TN) on FBI Terrorist Watch List (Released in five hours!))
More proof that the system doesn’t work, especially in a war situation with terrorists..
Well, that makes me feel real safe...
He had to pass my house near I-75 to get up to y’all..
75 is a drug and human smuggling corridor...
The judge was NOT called Moon of Chattanooga...
“Cherty, yer doing a hellova job.”
I guarantee you it wasn’t the esteemed Judge Moon (LOL).
I certainly want to know why this man is on a Terrorist Watch list, why he was released, and where he is now.
Oak Ridge is within 50 miles, isn’t it?
Yes, Oak Ridge is about an hour and a half from there. There’s also a U.S. Army weapons depot close by.
This is MUCH closer to Elizabethon:
