But a funny thing's happened on Obama's way to the White House. This potential game-changing demographic is beginning to sour on its onetime political crush. According to one recent poll, some young voters even appear to be doing the unthinkable - gravitating toward Obama's self-proclaimed "old-as-dirt" opponent.
A freshly minted Zogby poll that grabbed headlines by highlighting a dramatic McCain comeback in the overall data also features a fascinating youth vote tidbit: "McCain gained 20% and Obama lost 16% among voters ages 18-29. Obama still leads that group, 49%-38%."
...As more young voters begin to perceive Obama as just another politician, his flowery speeches and rhetorical acrobatics are not wearing particularly well. They may even be getting a little lame.

Ruh roh Shaggy...
This could be very bad for the Obama camp sicne they have pretty much based their whole winning upon the youth vote. If they do in fact show up this could be th second wave of “Regan Democrats”. I was one in 1980 at the age of 20 csting my first Presidential vote for Regan. I hope we see them again because it’s lasted with me my whole life much to my liberal 60’s parents chagrin.
That's a HUGE shift!
That's a 'bring a smile to your face' shift
Obama fatigue. No one with brain cells working can stand his mug on the TV any longer.
how ‘bout this #?
Gallup tracking poll released today has Obama only ahead by 2 points - i.e. Obama and McCain are tied within the polls margin of error.
The Obama bubble is about to burst.
August 6: Gallup Daily: Obama 46%, McCain 44%

—and if the usual holds true, many of those “young voters” don’t have even the slightest idea of where to go or how to actually vote—unless of course “helped out” by a Demotraitor operative-—
On to the next fad.
My daughter told me yesterday that she had spoke with an old friend who had recently moved back to California from Iowa. The friend said he had felt really proud to have voted for Obama in the Iowa caucuses but he was starting to question his enthusiasm for an Obama Presidency. This friend is also bi-racial and he said that was part of why he liked Obama; the race thing. But now the more he hears from Obama the more he thinks he is just another slimy politician.
The ‘young voters’ don’t want to pay $5 per gallon for gasoline and outrageous prices for food any more than the rest of us...
He’d better re-load that i-Pod.
Even 20-year-olds know that inflating your tires isn’t a solution to the gas problem.
The high gas prices are cutting into the available cash for buying weed resulting in an unexpected sobriety among young Democrat voters.
Looks like the “cool” factor is wearing off.
I can’t get this smile off of my face!!!!
Scuse’ me, I think you meant “Raggy”...(just kidding).
This is great news. I like many others (despite what my handle would lead you to believe) did not have McCain as my first choice, however I will support him. This election is a real chance for change in a couple of ways:
1. An Obama defeat would have DEVASTATING impact on the MSM. Never before have we seen the media in the tank for a candidate like they are for ObamaChrist and this would send them into turmoil.
2. This is a real chance to spit in the face of PoliticalCorrectness and race-hustling. We are being told that not supporting Obama is racist. An overwhelming defeat would (hopefully) make these idiots rethink their tactic of screaming “racism” everytime something doesn’t go their way.
The 3 twenty-somethings in our house are coming around also. Whew! We were really beginning to wonder where we went wrong.
“The high gas prices are cutting into the available cash for buying weed resulting in an unexpected sobriety among young Democrat voters.”
And that means the Revolution will be here SOON!
