Today's Gallup poll shows Obama increasing his lead over McCain slightly to 47-43 percent among registered voters. It looks like the little bump McCain got from the "Celeb" ad and subsequent publicity has faded and the race has settled back in to a small Obama lead.

without seeing how the polls are weighted poll results are useless for all you know they asked 1000 people and 80% were democrats

“Registered” voters are not “likely” voters, and 4% is pretty close to the margin of error. Obama must be tanking................

The polls are all within the noise of their error. Until a candidate consistently shows about a 10 point lead, they are statistically even.

I wish Gallup would publish the percentage of Democrats, Republicans, and African-Americans polled in these daily surveys. Without that information the poll is rather meaningless.

And in other news, Rasmussen shows the race tied at 44% among LIKELY VOTERS. When "leaners" are factored in, McCain leads 47% to 46%.
I guess that you missed this poll in your excitement to post Gallup. Nice try, though.

All of the Obama followers want the world to be convinced that Obama can not be beaten so they have to portray him as being in the lead at all times. If any of them display that he is behind in the polls then the message changes to say that Obama can be defeated. Just another way of being deceptive and convincing uneducated inarticulate people that they have “The Chosen One.” The shrinks are going to have a bumper business when Berry is defeated this fall. I can remember the last two elections when Bush was elected then reelected and the people in Frisco were screaming in the streets, “How can this happen?” It's simple most of us do not live in a liberal socialist world nor do we want to. With the slanted lopsided agenda driven Main Stream Media doing everything they can to ignore Republican candidates the liberals convince themselves that conservatives don't stand a chance. They are victims of their own propaganda and manipulated media.
