Barack Obama has lost ground among some of his strongest bases of support, including young people, women, Democrats and independents, according to a new ATV/Zogby poll.
The Illinois Democrat has also lost some support among African-Americans and Hispanics, where his lead over Republican John McCain has shrunk, and among Catholics, where he's lost his lead.
The net result, pollster John Zogby found, is a race that's neck and neck, with McCain supported by 42 percent; Obama by 41 percent; Libertarian Bob Barr by 2 percent; and independent Ralph Nader by 2 percent. Another 13 percent supported other candidates or were undedcided.

Let’s hope McCain’s bump has coat-tails ... hopefully the same people that are getting disillusioned with Obama also wake up and realize that the ‘Rat Congress is the main reason why they’re paying $4/gal for gas.
The 12th Imam in free fall..
Uh-Oh!
The oceans just started rising again!
It's getting harder to breathe!
Gack! My water is dirty!
WE'RE DOOMED!
Good idea, just to remind folks and all. You know what they say about black guys.....
More people are starting to say “no” to the koolaid.
After paying $4.00 at the gas pump, and with a group of GOPers in the D.C. protesting this stupid decision by the Speaker of the House to go on 5 weeks of summer vacation the shine is starting to come off Obama.
Losing support everywhere.
Obama’s arraogance has turned people off.
Oooooooooo — bad news for Obama!
**The Defender quotes Obama as saying that, “while everyone agrees that the Hispanic population has grown, they cannot expand by taking African-American seats.”**

For instance, in Ireland, he was listening to the talk radio, and they were commenting on the irrational popularity considering how he hasn’t really addressed the issues, that no one knows what he stands for, and that McCain is a more known quantity.
I agree with post. It has been going on for a long time. I was attempting humor based on the headline of young women changing their mind about Obama. I said that was typical morning after regret of a bad decision while under the influence of celebrity.
Yep if it wasn’t for the free concert with probably one of the most popular acts in Germany at the moment there would’ve been few who showed up to hear BO in Berlin! I’d like to sit through the speak again just to watch the crowd, I’ve heard that they neglected to translate what he said to German so I’ve read that a lot of people had no idea what he was saying. LOL
How could any Catholic support this guy and his stand on abortion? How could any Latino or Latina vote for this man who will throw them under the bus for blacks? The Democrats must be feeding them a great line for them to accept the Mr. Hope & Change against their best interests. I predict they will wake up before the election.
That is so good to hear. Thank you.
Give me a break.
Zogby is full of it when I don't like his poll results, but he's also full of it when I like his poll results. I sincerely doubt Obama's losing black support. He could change his name to Robert E. Lee Obama, and he'd still get 95%+ of the African American vote. This defies common sense.
