Just spoke to her staff..she is still there on the house floor:)
I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
So was the Boston Tea Party. Throwing someone's tea into the sea to protest a tax wasn't exactly productive in and of itself.
They know that if this doesn't actually turn into something, they're going to be made into a laughingstock by the MSM - which means they now have to run with this and force Pelosi to allow the vote.
Just called C-Span; the House Leadership controls the lights and cameras (which the man who answered said do not belong to C-Span).
Called Pelosi’s office and complained.
I understand about adjournments, but lights and cameras should be on if the people’s representatives are on the floor. Those who want to go home certainly can chance it.
This is how tyrants show their cowardice.
I heard Sean talking about it. When he went to break he said Newt would be on to talk more about it.
I’m on hold with Hannity.....
YEAH!! Turning it on!
BINGO!
Good. : )
Hannity said that Newt was going to be on to way in on this!!!
Can’t wait!!!!!
Is he talking about it??
UPDATE- Second thread started on Politico because the FIRST ONE WAS SO BUSY!!

Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) said he was “not leaving until we call this Congress back into session and vote for energy independence.”
Rep. Tom Cole (Okla.), chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, said the dimly lit chamber is a “vision of the future by the Democrat Party - the lights are out, there’s no power, and the air conditioning is gonna go off soon.”

>>This is some kind of grand stand play by folks in the House. All normal Floor action has been halted for the normal close of business. However, everything that is said on the House Floor, does go into the Congressional Record whether anybody is there or not. So a bunch of yahoos are still pontificating away.... in the dark. DUH.<<
Damn straight and God Love them for it!!!!!!
I have to run some errands but I am waiting for you.
Does anyone have a list of the representatives who are there so we can make a list with numbers to call and offer support?
Our local radio news show host Ray Appleton (Fresno) is talking to Devin Nunes right now.
He says they have about 45 minutes ‘til Pelosi kicks them out. He says the gallery is packed with tourists.
Where the VW w/a sail poster came from is that a democrat said that their energy plan is to drive small cars and wait for the wind.
If I heard Nunes correctly the Repubs were trying to get a vote together when Pelosi decided it was time to adjourn.
Call screener just took my name... hehe
Couldn’t keep the press out of a tent set up outside, lol!
Today is my birthday and if you squeeze in, “happy birthday, kitten!” on the air, I will donate $100 to FR.
Oh I am so proud of Congressman Brady. I e-mailed him in Washington about an hour ago asking that he return to the floor along with the other Republicans and stand tall. He probably was already there.
Mention the mental picture of Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Tx) going back on the House floor, trailing his luggage behind him!
