I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
My bad. Still very cool.
For this to work they had to stay...to demonstrate their seriousness. Wow, they stayed until 5PM when most of America completes their work day. Big Whoop.
Ignore the snivelers, they are unproductive and add ZERO to the discussion.

I don’t agree. For this to really work they had to keep it up. It was obvious from the get go. Constructive criticism is NOT sniveling. Perhaps next time, if there ever is a next time, they’ll get it right and finish the job.
