Thinking the Unthinkable . . . Obama Loses
self | 9/1/08 | LS

Posted on 08/01/2008 7:39:20 AM PDT by LS

While everyone has been contemplating one "unthinkable" outcome of the fall vote---Obama's election (and, for what it's worth, as of right now this does appear to be the likely outcome)---let me suggest an equally unthinkable result: Obama loses.

I have been giving a lot of thought to this because of the coverage of Obama as a "transfiguring" personality, as an "image," as (to use the phrase of some of the pundits), a "superman," and, of course, as the German schlub said, "a messiah."

What happens when superman loses an election? What happens when voters reject the messiah?

We all need to be prepared for a hailstorm of charges about "voter fraud," "fixing the election," and cheating such as will make 2000 look like a high school prom queen contest. It's understood that an overwhelmingly Dem congress and senate wouldn't give John McCain the time of day, let alone actually try to improve the country. Forget that. I'm talking serious stuff here.

Already the groundwork is laid for political violence and upheaval such as in the 1960s. Messiahs can't lose unless they are betrayed by some Judas; Superman can't fail unless there is some mysterious introduction of Kryptonite---say, the "conservative media."

An Obama loss will bring on deeply damaging legislation (which McCain can't, or won't, stop) against talk radio and Fox . . . and likely the internet. There will be the predictable rioting, but it may be more severe than what we've seen in the past, especially given that a president McCain would be neither tough enough to smash it (like Nixon) or to overcome it by appealing to the public (like Reagan).

In short---the policies of John McCain aside---I think the fallout from an Obama defeat will be disastrous. This certainly is no reason to vote for him; indeed, this Mussolini-like figure demands our total opposition. But be prepared: the messiah's loss will not be taken lightly.

I hate to admit it, but that is the clear and present threat. Some are tempted to vote for Obama because they feel guilty, some feel voting for Obama will heal racial tensions, some are Marxists and some just hate the war in Iraq and those who got us involved in it. But some will vote for Obama because they are scared of what might happen if he loses - that is, riots, crime spike, etc.

Obama is like a child trying to act like an adult. He will try to ruin our country because of his Marxist ideals and race hatred.

Another senario that would result in even worse conditions: Obama wins 12-14 states HUGE and 230-240 electoral votes, McCain wins the rest by close margins but loses the popular vote by 1-1.5 million.

LA will burn for 3 years along with most of the rest of the major cities in the US. Food and fuel distribution halts to out lying areas and millions of refuges flee the cities.

Maybe the government is already planning for such an outcome? (I know, I know, it's a WND article.)

Is federal government stockpiling survival food?

Exactly! What kind of whine is this?! Basically the guy is saying, “I’m scared to vote for McCane because libtards will riot.” So...in his world you must bow to intimidation? And it’s not even real intimidation...only imagined intimidation.

What a wuss.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say that, provided he isn't replaced by Hillary on the ticket, it's going to be a Democrat loss of Dukakis or Mondale proportions.

It's funny how people can have different outlooks... For a few months now I have been predicting the biggest GOP landslide in history.

It means that President McCain declares martial law, sends in federal troops into the riot-torn areas, hopefully with “shoot to kill” orders.

The left wing has been prattling and yabbering about a ‘revolution’ for decades, but they are ill prepared to deal with the millions upon millions of conservative Americans and their firearms who will line up alongside those federal troops to win the War on Domestic Terror.

Any Code Pinko or KoS Kommando who tries to get violent with this Freeper will be eating lead and meeting Jesus in that order.

Um, I’m sorry but I don’t see it that way. Every day he seems to stick his foot further and further down his gullet.

That can’t be. They already bought the black paint for the White House.

Yea, but they only bought enough to paint the left half.

Obama's election (and, for what it's worth, as of right now this does appear to be the likely outcome)

It isn't worth much. At this point in an election year, polls commissioned by the media always show a Great Democratic Victory on the way. Carter was ahead; he lost by a landslide. Mondale was ahead; he lost by a landslide. Dukakis was ahead; he lost by a landslide. The media always do this. It makes their little liberal legs twinge just thinking about it. But there's no reason for us to buy into it.

In Obama's case, there's also the "Bradley effect:" the fact that most racist Democrats do not admit to pollsters that they'll never vote for the black guy. They'll say they will, but in the privacy of the voting booth...

You'll recall that during the primaries, Obama's actuals never reached the lead he had in the polls. And so it will be in November.

On the other hand, you're right: when he loses, it's gonna be Detroit Pistons Night.

Obama is not a Marxist. He has an African mindset. That's African collectivism which is not Marxism. His dad was straight out of the African village tradition so his psyche is still very much in sync with Africa. If you want to see what the African collective does to a western country, think Zimbabwe or the “new” South Africa. Its really simple. Here we have 2 worlds rubbing each other up and the more sophisticated world will lose (too brittle and dependent on a functioning system) because the African culture is more robust and can live fairly well when every western logistical construct has been erased.
White Americans are just going to have to get used to it, just like they unequivocally expected Rhodesians and Afrikaners to accept it.

If this got out, not only would he lose, but he’d be impeached from the Senate:

Obama’s upcoming loss will generate no riots. It will be a 2-3% loss and the EVs won’t be particularly close. There will be talk of racism, but it won’t matter. The people will reject him and the whole matter will be defused essentially by the very rapid appearance of Hillary on screen saying I told you so.

That will transform a black loss into a Democrat loss.

Nothing will happen to talk radio or the media because much of the Democrats’ majority are semi conservatives who are placeholding in GOP districts. Though . . . they may be eliminated partially in a McCain win, in which case again, nothing will happen.

The odd part of this campaign is unfolding. Iraq will only be an issue in the context of oil. Typically the party in the WH needs a good economy to win, but at this point it appears that the higher oil’s price goes, the lower Obama’s numbers will go. It is that price, not riots, that will be on the minds of people.

And if you think THAT story would ever be told, you’re smoking some good s$%t.

IF, I say again IF, Toot gets booted at the convention, even the dullest democrat won't be able to blame anyone but the democrat power structure.

That's why the birth certificate kerfuffle isn't a 'mere technicality'.

I do think the EVs are close, ie., maybe 50-60 EVs could be decided by a handful of voters. But right now I’m not seeing those swinging to McCain. But it won’t matter if it’s a McCain landslide. The charges of “stolen” will still be leveled. Outrage will still be the order of the day.
