CNN does not say. It’s just a big red banner at the top of the page at this point.

CNN is saying that AP is reporting it. AP is banned here. Let's hope some FReeper is on the case and has a report.

acetominophen is a nasty way to go...lucky for him it was codeine, too, and he must have taken enough to go quickly...not linger for a week in agony.

It’s also an LA times story:

Great. Now the Feds can claim that Ivin was the perp and drop their investigation.

That way they can stop investigating whether the 9/11 terrorists actually were involved along with others still unknown.

Sounds like the scientist was severly depressed and did not have the financial means to deal with the Feds.

I’m being very negative here but can’t help it. Among the 9/11 terrorists, some had training in how to fly crop dusters - perfect for spreading anthrax on a suicide mission. And there was the mysterious death of a employee and contamination of the National Enquirer’s building in Florida. I suppose Ivins had something personal against that gossip rag!

No, this is much too convenient.

I believe that’s the story the AP is citing.

Very true. Dying of what is essentially a Tylenol overdose, killing the Liver, couldn't be fun. Codeine is pretty weak stuff, I doubt it helped him much with regard to comfort, relative to the fatal amount of acetaminophen.

THE QUESTION: was he going to be prosecuted for being the wolf-crying “leaker” of Hatfill as the 9/11 attacker, or was he going to be prosecuted for sending the 9/11 anthrax?

The answer to that question means a lot.
