Republican presidential candidate John McCain has released a new ad featuring shots of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton (Watch above).
Both stars appear briefly as a narrator describes Democratic opponent Barack Obama as "the biggest celebrity in the world."
The narrator then asks, "Is he ready to lead?"
The Obama campaign responded in a statement: "On a day when major news organizations across the country are taking Senator McCain to task for a steady stream of false, negative attacks, his campaign has launched yet another. Or, as some might say, 'Oops! He did it again.'"
McCain campaign manager Rick Davis explained in a conference call with reporters: "What we decided to do is find the top three international celebrities in the world, and I would say from our indications, Britney and Paris came in second and third.
"It is not our campaign that is trying to make him into an international celebrity," Davis added. "It's his campaign... I don't know Paris Hilton and Britney Spears but they are international celebrities, so, you know, apples to apples."

At least Paris and Britney believe in capitalism. Something Obama does not.

The louder the squeals from the MSM about this add, the greater its effectiveness. I watched MSNBC tonight (Hardball) and was amazed how angry, upset and defensive these folks really are about this add and anything that alludes to Obama’s penchant to “cut-and-run” from the Iraq War.
These people don't want an election. They don't even want an inauguration. What they want is a coronation of a man supposedly free of anything that can be criticized.

Great ad.
I think Larry Kudlow is about to air the ad on CNBC, after a commercial break.

I think it’s just the feeling amongst the MSM that McCain is destroying any hope of him capturing the Independents, who really don’t like this stuff.

The McCain campaign better get off its ass or we are looking at a 40 state sweep for The ObaMessiah.

The truth hurts. Except it’s an insult to Brittney and Paris. Britney at least put out some records for teenagers and Paris at least did a semi funny TV show. Obama hasn’t done squat to earn his celebrity.

Ridicule is the manner in which Obama's messianic image can be dismantled.
And thats why the Obama campaign is squealing about the ad.
Drudge has Dem whine article links on the ad, which Obama calls the "low road."
It may be low, bro' ,But it is TRUE!!!!

Yes there are similarities! All three are lightweights. All three are popular with the clueless especially the younger variety. All three do not seem to know what they are doing or where they are going or want to go. All three don't have any real talent, although Obama does have a good speech tone. All three love to get in front of the camera. It's a safe bet all three know nothing about national defense and national security. All three know nothing about economics. That's just for starters.
