An earthquake is now rocking the Southern California area. (I'm near Dodger Stadium)
As I post this, the USGS has not yet determined the epicenter so click on the link above for the exact location and magnitude from the USGS.
Here are the maps for California and Los Angeles:

Here's the historical review of the last seven days:
“Prayers for JimRob and family and all our California FReepers!
Thanks for the sentiments and all that, but please! It was only a 5.8. We don’t sweat the small ones like this here in California”
Not to mention that JimRob ( like me) is up here in Fresno, which is better than 250 miles away from the quake.
Stay calm everyone!!! Shep is in studio, but with such short notice he hasn’t had the time for a second coat of mascara. He just reported the water from a swimming pool has leaked out and left a slick on a roadway...whew, I feel much better now.;)
I appreciated years ago when she talked about “earthquake weather” and the myths surrounding it.
Yeah my book fell too also my cat dash under my bedroom bed
He didn’t want come out for good half hour after the quake he is okay now now he sleeping on the couch
I’ll never forget it. At first I thought the Russians had nuked LA. I seriously thought it was The End for old B-chan.
I remember the cold chill that ran down my spine when I turned on my car radio and found nothing but static all the way across the dial.
No earthquakes in North Texas, thank God. And you can see a tornado coming!
Signing in from downtown Oceanside. We’ve been here 5 years, first time I felt a quake. A jolt and then about 8-10 seconds of rolling and shaking.
LOL. Dogs love a/c...
Hey. I grew up in Eagle Rock. Back then it was like living in Mayberry, RFD. It was a great place to be a kid.
I emailed Shep about my cat and needing a FEMA begit card but I guess he didn’t read it.
I emailed Shep about my cat and needing a FEMA debit card but I guess he didn’t read it.
I have never felt an earthquake, does it make your stomach feel kind of queasy?
Felt like a rolling and sharp jolt in north east Orange County near 91 & 55 frwy’s.
All I’ve noticed ‘so far’, was a small portable radio was knocked over in it’s side.
Me too.
I never cashed my FEMA check for the Northridge quake because I so detested the Clintons I wanted nothing from them. Now, post Katrina, I bet I’m sure to hear from FEMA begging to help (and justify their existence).
Isn’t Shep going to fly out for a live shot amidst the disaster? Oh, the humanity!
Woohoo, double post and I’m not even drinking yet!
A whole lot of us were hundreds of miles away, but please keep praying for us. The legislature is in session.
Another Fresnan!
