The Rat media must be licking their chops having something to concentrate on instead of Obama’s falling poll numbers.

Man.. it’s been 8 years.

There shouldn’t be any “hold overs” from the Clinton administration.

We should have gotten rid of them by now..

Good, the US Attorney’s office should find and prosecute corruption in public officials no matter what party the wrong doer may belong to. We voters have to do our part and stop electing ones who we learn are tainted or who break their campaign promises to us.

Sounds like a Ron Paul Republican. That would be a very welcome change from a gasbag like Stevens.

They proudly trumpet his party affiliation.

If he was a Democrat, would this have made the news? Doubtful

Agreed.

Isn’t this the guy who pushed the $465M bridge to nowhere?

Good riddance to him and his kind. The GOP may have to go through a few years in the desert before the party is cleansed of all the free-spending types (not to mention crooks)

And where is the outrage for that?

There is none on the left. He's their guy. He gets a pass -- from his party, the media and his voters.

As for us on the right, we're free to piss and moan about a double standard.

Hmmmmmmmm. I wonder if the quiet acceptance of Dodd's behavior among Republican Senators might stem from being equally guilty...

The older one gets, the more easy it is to be cynical about our "public servants".

The secret recordings suggest the Justice Department was eyeing Stevens long before June 2007, when the Republican senator first publicly acknowledged he was under scrutiny.

So they waited more than a year to indict him just before the election. Typical Dim tactic. And I believe the Justice Department is overrun with corrupt Dims.

The Bush Administration should have done more to root the Dims out, no matter what the legalities are. Get rid of them and worry about the law later.

I would love to get rid of all the corrupt bastards in the GOP.

Maybe it would return to being a great party.

Unlike the left who promote their bastards.

Sounds like he did not disclose gifts or debts owed. 1999-2006 recieved gifts from Vco(?) oil field company. Renovations to his house!

This indictment is VERY specific.

They’re going through exactly what was done to his home.

This sounds like there was some undercover work done.

You're kidding, right? The Clintons packed every department, agency and bureau with Democrat lifers. They're supposed to be “non-partisan”, sorta like Valerie Plame.

It's no doubt that he will be forced to leave the Senate but it would be wise for the next Republican that wants his seat to pound away at the needs to drill in Alaska and since every citizen in Alaska gets royalties it would benefit them.

YES! no, HELL YES! Excuse the profanity. I'm allowed at least one screaming profanity a day, right?
